Hey look, we've finally been nominated for victory of the week! To be fair, this is probably the first time we've had a victory worthy of nomination.
For me, the Eagles did have the victory of the week. The Falcons came into Philly with a 4 game win streak and the best record in the NFC. Virtually every power rank had them as the top team in the NFC. The Eagles were a wildly inconsistent team with a shaky offensive line, a porous defense, and a question mark at QB that had just barely beaten the winless 49ers. Many people picked the Falcons.
Turns out, we blew out em out! Kevin Kolb was fantastic, the patchwork offensive line played maybe it's best game of the year, and the defense did a fine job against a team with a number of good playmakers. It was a big win for the Eagles that further shook up people's notions of who is a real competitor in the NFC and placed the Eagles in the conversation as to who are the true contenders in the conference.
