I am not worried about the Falcons game...

Ok, so while most of you guys are flipping out about the Atlanta Game, I really am not worried about it. You might call me crazy, you might think I'm dumb, I really could care a less because it's just the way I feel and here's why:

  • Kevin Kolb had a good game last week against the 49ers. That being said, it's the 49ers but he moved around well, he pushed the ball down field and I think he hit a bit of a groove that'll carry over into this game.. That and the Falcons give up an average of 223.4 passing yards a game.
  • Lesean McCoy is on a roll, the kid is lighting it up, he's getting it done as the primary checkdown man and running the ball. The Falcons are giving up 86.6 rushing yards a game but with a few key defenders hurt or playing hurt McCoy could be able to gash them, but most of his damage comes when he's catching the ball, and I'd take McCoy against the Falcons LB's all day long.
  • Owen Schmitt fucks people up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUZ6Xzu5Yhw
  • Dunlap didn't really play terrible last game, he wasn't great but he wasn't terrible.. I think he will have a good game, maybe a sack given up but a good game overall.
  • The other 4 on the line actually play pretty well when they're not committing penalties, if Dunlap holds up we should be ok.
  • Our Defensive line played well last week, we need to pressure Matt Ryan and really get penetration.. They've given up 10 sacks this season, if we get pressure we'll be ok.
  • Our LB's played pretty well, Bradley got beat a few times by a freak of nature TE but all around the LB's were more physical and they made some plays.. Gonzo's stats are 24 rec for 246 yards and 1 TD, we know how much the TE gashes us though, but I think we can run with this guy.
  • Asante will be back. Last week we made it through without him, however Alex Smith tore us up for a few drives, and there were a few plays I think Asante (having better hands) would've made something happen.. This week we need him and our young CB's because (1) this is the game I've though Hobbs would get hurt in and (2) The Falcons average 221.4 passing yards a game.
  • Nate Allen and Mikell have some chemistry going, they look good back there together, I think having 2 athletic safety's really makes up for what we lack at CB, I think our safety's make a big difference in this game.. Another Nate Allen INT isn't very probable, Matt Ryan's been taking care of the ball pretty well this year, he's got 3 INT's in 177 attempts.
  • I think our Special Teams actually plays well this game too, I've got a feeling that with all the problems we've been having and Bobby Aprils demand for perfection from his units we finally quit giving up 30-50 yard returns and actually get some TD's out of the return teams.. They've given up a punt block once this year too.. I say that because I've seen a few times where one of the Eagles players has come close to getting to the punter.
