I can't think of a worse one.
Not even Carolina’s Ricky Manning Jr. literally throwing James Trash out of bounds was worse.

the tampa loss will probably always be the worst loss in history for me
It’d be way worse if we lost and sent dallas to the playoffs

Here’s my thinking…as awful and scarring as that was, mcnabb was still young and we thought they’d be back (and they were, only to kill us again and again).
This just seems like the end of an era.

why do we get these calls when the game is vitrually over?
the momentum was all Cowboys b/c the two bs calls at the beginning of the game

I'm not saying major injury...
put we have to put enough hurting on Romo to make them take him out of the game.
There could...
But the Eagles are currently in the stadium, so I wouldn’t want God to smote Jerry’s Gommorah while they’re in the building…he can do that later tonight.

So, news flash! We have a really really crappy offensive game plan.
All underneath routes are open (curls, hooks, ins, outs, screens) against the Dallas CBs who keep giving our WRs so much cushion.
In fact, we could really just throw quick hitch routes to our WRs every play and we’d average at least 5 yards per play, with the amount of cushion the Dallas CBs are giving us.
Draw runs are open to Damarcus Ware’s side and have been all game.
The play DeSean just scored on has been open all game.
We have not committed to running and running well to set up play action and slow down Demarcus Ware. The other good thing about running is it would protect the Nick Cole led O line and maybe get them to believe in themselves a bit more.
Bottom line: Instead of taking what Dallas gives us, we’ve kept trying to force the big play all game. The great offensive coaches generally look for the weaknesses in the defenses they’re playing against and attack those weaknesses. The mediocre ones keep doing +what we do best" and hope for different results.
Remember Albert Einstein’s quote; Insanity; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I state this earlier in the second quarter too!
All underneath routes are open (curls, hooks, ins, outs, screens) against the Dallas CBs who keep giving our WRs so much cushion.
The Middle of the field has been wide open. And WRs like Avant and Celek have been open their but Dmac keeps holdin on to the ball or just flat out misses

I thinks this is funny! Reid talks about being out coached and out played
He took responsibility ( as he always does which means nothing) for the loss, yet we lose AGAIN in the same fashion. Nothing was different! Nothing except we scored at least some points. Which is good. But its been the same type of beat down just like last time! U played them THREE times….and u emphasized film study this pass week, yet..beat down in the same fashion.

I am glad we true Cowboy fans can taste a playoff victory . I have enjoyed this season debating with most of you and appreciate the welcome here by all of you. I know this is just the beginning of many good seasons to come. This may have been our year finally but I have respect for the Eagles. With all the youth and upside, your team will be good for many more years. Here’s hoping we represent the NFC East well the rest of the playoffs like you all did last year. Thanks again and see you all next year.
"When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising -- making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option."

Big picture
I don’t think McNabb was the reason we didn’t beat the Cowboys, and his play this year was certainly not problematic.
The only reason to get rid of him is if you can get good value and it’s the only way you can retain/extend Kolb.
That’s risky though. Kolb can play, but we really don’t know what we’re gonna get. McNabb we know who and what he is.
If this team had a dominant defense, this offense could be enough to win a Super Bowl. I don’t think it’s THE issue, by any means. McNabb’s future I mean.
I hope they come out and squash it ASAP. It’s fueled by people asking the question over and over again even though there’s no real reason to believe we should go on/be better off without him.

We already have Eldra Buckley
He’s going to be big next year. Andy always gives love to guys who play well in Special Teams.
When the pain heals in a few days
we’ll probably be able to admit that this year was a step forward. We found Westbrook’s replacement, we’ve got two good young WRs plus Celek (may add Avant too), and we learned Kolb can play.
I think we can go any number of ways in the draft.
And the big question might be ‘can we ever win with this style of play?’ I still say yes, but when someone figures us out, they have us nailed and it’s bad.

Different, yes ...
… but we were getting dominated to that point in the game, just not on the scoreboard. I agree it would have been a huge momentum boost, but all things considered, I didn’t see any signs that we would have outplayed them over the course of 60 minutes.
I thought last week we were close; this week looked like the worst loss of the three. We have no answer for them defensively … and it’s probably personnel more than scheme. Dallas can run against us, and get the ball to playmakers who force us to open-field tackle … which is clearly not our strength.
I thought after Macho went out we might improve there, but not so much.
Still waiting for the Eagles to Bring It Home For Jerome
we didn’t beat a single playoff team this year not even in the preseason… thats the only stat i’m seeing this year…
I wouldn't say that
I would say Dallas matched up well against us, and outplayed us.
It’s not like we were Super Bowl-bound … maybe with our full personnel we would’ve been. But this is like every Eagles season ever, slow start, they play well for a stretch, then end abruptly & poorly.
Here’s to Stewart Bradley’s recovery!
Still waiting for the Eagles to Bring It Home For Jerome

Not a Single playoff team. We crushed lesser competition and lost to competitive teams! Yet a win was a win!. A Win is a Win……I will NOT be saying that anymore as it does not mean that u are a good team!!!!!!!

Agree
But honestly why are we asking that question? Was he the problem this season or in the Dallas games?
Thoroughly outplayed. Never really had a chance, you can’t pin this on him.
Unless we’re just eager to get value and retain Kolb, why let him go?
Also, Reid and Lurie have never shown any indication that they’d like to get rid of him. And they tend not to give a shit what fans or media think.

I wish the eagles could have at least played a little better
But comeon, they just didn’t play with the hustle. The turnovers killed us in the end. I thought the defense had given the offense chances, but once again, the inability to complete 3rd downs and flip the field hurt.

"... You play to win the game. Hello? You play to win the game. You don't play it to just play it. That's the great thing about sports: you play to win..."
Jammal Jackson got a ACL tear, a 12 month recovery, and is 30 years old. We may as well start looking for a new one…
And I don’t trust any Eagle with the last name of “Andrews”.
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
I hear u but ....I Doubt the Coaches do!!
"... You play to win the game. Hello? You play to win the game. You don't play it to just play it. That's the great thing about sports: you play to win..."
These are the SAME coaches who stuck with Curtis all year
Stuck with tried to stick with Andrews, who can’t manage the clock, who call crazy timeouts and who thought ,in the past, that we had enough weapons!
"... You play to win the game. Hello? You play to win the game. You don't play it to just play it. That's the great thing about sports: you play to win..."
2010 cometh
Heres to a healthy team for once!
I'd rather be an Eagles fan till the day i die and go 0-16 every year than be a cockroach cowboys fan
Anyone else watching Post
Game Live?
Can’t wait for the comments that we’ll be hearing over and over for the next 8 months.
Not drunk enough to sell off my season tickets, but getting way too frustrated over the same ending year after year after year…………..
Have a Good One Iggles Fans
I’ll be tuning into Howard Eskin on WIP throughout the week to hear you guys share your passion. I’m Italian just like you. Thus, I love the passion of Philly fan, the greatest fan in all of sports!

IM watchin the fuggin nanny
i have no philly shows in okla
not totally
the entire offense juss gave up the game
The Iggles are well on their way
to becoming the Boston Red Sox of the NFL. That is, to be clear what the Red Sox used to be (premier franchise that always got close but never won it all and in the end had to watch their hated rivals celebrate time after time), but I’m afraid for the Iggles it’s only roughly 1978 or so …
I'm not here to talk trash
The Eagles had a good season, but the Cowboys were a better team. You guys have a very young team, and I believe the sky is the limit for this team. I may be a cowboys fan, but I have alot of respect for your team.
Boys fan here
Lotta respect…
Hope you guys get healthy and have a good draft…
See you next year
MacGruber!
i know it wasn’t mcnabb’s fault….it was my vague attempt at sarcasm. i figured the mcnabb haters would be out in full force. this is the day they live for
Nope, just the apologists
Not many people actually hate McNabb. Fans are just fed up with the repeated failures and the particular WAY he fails.
Hey
You guys had an o-line that hadn’t played together coming into the season and then had a shitload of injuries and you expect them to play well?
MacGruber!
For next year we still don’t know if Shawn Andrews will play football, if is brother is worthy of starting and who will play center so yeah I’m worried.
But, no, I didn’t expect them to be great tonight. Although snapping the ball on time would have been nice.
Also Peters isn’t that great and Justice is limited. Bradley will improve the defense, but the offense has it’s concerns.
Give em some time
Man… Justice has come a long way, and no reason to think he will still develop.
MacGruber!
the way i see it is jamal jackson is a wash next year and shawn andrews is probably done….he hasn’t played in two years. even if he is healthy, is he going to be any good? i don’t know if stacy will be back. i believe his contract was extremely back loaded and the birds can get out of it cheap after this year but would be locked into a bunch of money after that. if they can get out without repercussions, i think they do it….so by my calculations, we’re due for an upgrade at c and rg
no
i guarantee most of those run plays wouldnt have happened. bradley is a great tackler and great in coverage he would have helped a shit load

you realize we’ve tried 6 players at mlb, I wouldn’t have been surprised if they put vick in there…mlb and fs were the biggest liabilities of this team….
My opinion...
Two games McNabb has been less than sharp. He didn’t lose them for you, but he certainly didn’t win them.
Don’t mean to be a troll… Word and I am gone.
MacGruber!
guess its time to change the sig....
aaargh!. Meh…I dont know what to think anymore. Pitchers and catchers in 6 wks?…yeah
I've been sayin "Wait til next year" for 31 years....

Fuck
Losing a playoff game to the Cowboys in “Jerryworld” is the worst of all possible worlds.
That said, if they were playing well it was almost inevitable. Our team is cobbled together as is and it’s amazing we made it this far. The stat I’d like to see is something like “snaps times rookies on the field for the play, plus snaps missed by projected starters”. We’re without the two Andrews and our starting center; Westbrook has had an obviously tough season from the injury standpoint and was a relative non-factor; our receivers are extremely young; we don’t have Bradley; additionally, our whole LB corps is a clusterfuck; Harris, already a rookie, went out early; Sheldon was clearly not 100 percent, especially after he had to leave the game for a spell; Celek got dinged pretty good early (although he eventually recovered); etc. etc. etc.
At full strength this is an entirely different game. We’ve kicked their asses all decade and I don’t see any reason we won’t resume where we left off next year.
We’re playing with two-thirds of a team here.

Oh, and -
Congratulations to the one-third of Cowboys fans who actually have a connection to Dallas and know what a draw play is. You’ve managed to get a playoff win despite the dead weight of bandwagon “America’s Team” bullshit, an egomaniacal ass of an owner who lives forever in the wrath of the football gods for his sins against the sport, and more than one perennial choke-artists and or drama-queens in the star spots on your roster.
I honestly mean it, it must feel great.

so was quintin mikell not as good this year because he’s just not that good or was it a result of poor free safety play weighing him down? also what do we do at sam? do we go get one in the draft? is moise fokou going to push next year? will gocong be back?
on another note, i saw gocong flying around today like i’ve never seen. i saw him make a few good tackles (special teams included) and he looked unstoppable on his sack play
