With all the great arguments going on over McNabb vs. Kolb there seems to be something missing - Michael Vick. I mean, doesn’t anyone think that Vick has a chance at all? After all, we do have three - count 'em THREE - starting-quality quarterbacks, not two. Has anyone else noticed that around the Link and Lehigh it seems like ACL's snap like popcorn? The question here might not be who does Andy choose so much as who survives the off season.
And then there's the general drama of the NFL. All that stars and wanna-be-stars seem to need is a single whisper in the ear from Drew 'Satan' Rosenhaus, and the next thing you know, they are demanding a trade in front of the media and instantly committing career suicide. Any one of the three could succumb to the desire for a little more green; Legal tender green, not Eagle Green.
And then there's the one thing that is genetically designed into so many NFL players - pointless self-destruction. Kolb could get injured hunting a wild 500 lb. razorback hog with a pair of tweezers. McNabb could try to pick up all four of his kids and once and wind up with a career-ending hernia. And Michael Vick, well forget that thought, Michael would never do anything self-destructive so we can rule that one out.
But I digress, so back to the point; as long as everyone seems to be speculating, doesn't anyone think that there is potential for Vick to be #1 QB next season, if not by merit, by attrition, and if so, would that really be such a terrible thing?
