Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

Lito Sheppard, a former two-time Pro Bowler with the Eagles, battled injuries all season and was benched for the Jets’ 30-17 loss to the Colts on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game, playing sparingly in nickel and dime situations.

Well that settles that

From the link:

Sheppard, who was replaced by Dwight Lowery, finished with just one interception in 11 games this season. He cost the Jets a fourth-round pick.

So is this another one the Eagles got right?

every since he had those injures he has not been the same

we should have traded him like 2 years ago when we would have gotten a 2nd round pick instead

we wouldn’t have received a second for Lito 2007 he was injury plagued no one would have touched him for a second in 08 or 09.

Lito is a bust....

Ever since I saw Lito in his last game as an Eagle….give up on covering a receiver who scored on him. He lost my respect……….The hell with him……lol.

I dont know if i'd say bust

he had some HUGE plays in his career with us!

I'd rather be an Eagles fan till the day i die and go 0-16 every year than be a cockroach cowboys fan

He was good when he was into it

but as soon as Asante arrived, he gave up on the Eagles. His effort that year was pathetic.

I’ll gladly take the 4th….wish we had gotten more, but such is life….take it, lets move on…chapter closed…

Playing sparingly in nickel and dime situations...

BUT getting burned frequently in those nickel and dime situations.

he doesnt have it anymore but there is no way he was a bust. he gave the eagles 2 pro bowls seasons.

In addition to the 4 this year...

…which I’m still not 100% convinced we have yet, we also got a 5 last year which turned into Cornelius Ingram. Hopefully that trade turns out to be a steal.

Jets fans are calling for a CB to be drafted next year – they’re not unhappy with Lito, but they feel he might be leaving anyway after this.

by Rabbit T on Jan 26, 2010 7:52 AM EST reply actions

I got that sense from his comments

You just wonder what kind of job he’ll be leaving for, and at what pay rate.

For the right price, Birds might put him on the Trotter plan.

That’s the thing about Lito Sheppard: He’s not afraid to tweak his hammy every year. You have to admire him for that.

I’m gonna get a hernia from all of this. Hilarious.

It reminds me a bit of that guy from Entourage, Ryan I think was his surname, with the phrase ‘… now is that something you might be interested in?’

On a completely extraneous note, my first girlfriend’s name was Lito (but with an accent on the o)

The only thing I miss about Lito is that he could actually tackle.
