What injured player will have the biggest impact coming back
Its funny what you forget when you get all involved in the season. For example I almost forgot that we drafted Cornelius Ingram, and that got me thinking ... what one of the players that we lost to injury this season will have the biggest impact next year. Just to list some of the major players we lost Stewart Bradly, Cornelius Ingram, and Shawn Andrews amongst others. In my opinion Shawn Andrews will be back next year and will help us greatly especially with how badly we got beat at the line of scrimmage against Dallas. Well lets get some debate going.

Stew.
I really want Shawn back and I think he’d help the O-line but Stew makes a huge difference in our defense’s attitude and talent.
Gotta go with Bradley. I think Shawn Andrews could have a bigger impact if he comes back at 100%, but I don’t know how likely that is. Bradley might take some time to get back up to 100%, but I’m pretty confident he’s gonna get there. Ingram could have a big impact, but he’s too much of an unknown at this point.
Bradley obviously
If Shawn Andrews comes back he will have a big impact but that is still more iffy than Bradley’s return.
No brainer....Stew
I can’t believe people still think Andrews can come back and play like he did…shit whats it been 3 years since he played last?
As for Ingram, I really like the kid, but can anyone think of any player who came back from a 2nd ACL tear and was effective…I can’t

Yeah
Andrews is 3 years out with 2 back surgeries. Even if he’s there mentally (no guarantee), he’ll have lost something physically
"EFF YOU, WE'RE WINNING ANYWAY!!!!!!" (Bye, Dawk)
I’m sure he will have lost something, maybe a lot… but if he’s healthy and focused, he’ll still be better than MJG.
agreed
I haven’t given up on Stacy (though I have given up on Shawn). He’ll be a nice big body at RG

Either way
I think we should still be looking to upgrade.

It has to be Stew
We have a lot riding on him right now. Before the injury, he was looking like a potential perennial Pro Bowler at MLB. We need him back at full speed.
I’m also holding out hope that Shawn Andrews will come back strong this year. I know I’m in the minority here, but he has a ton of talent. If he can just get that back (and mind) right….
Stacy Andrews is another that could be included in the poll. He was on the roster all season, but never played. If we can get BOTH Andrews brothers to reach their potential AND have Winston there to compete as well, then we’re a center away from one of the best O-lines in the league.
Im not sure, but he did a number on both of his knee's
I wish we kept Buck and let Westy go.
thats Cobb on Kolb crime if you ask me... as said by yophillybro
I dont
If this was BWest’s last year, Im glad he spent it here. Let him retire an Eagle.

I'm calling bullshit on this one
Buckhalter only missed two games, and he put up more than double the yards. His YPC average was 5.4! Westbrook, on the other hand, was 4.5.

yeah IronHanks right
Buck>westy this year.
thats Cobb on Kolb crime if you ask me... as said by yophillybro
Even if he did
That was a 2 parter…
1. 2 ACL tears
2. Came back effective
Buck was never that impressive. Even through everything, BWest still had a better year than Buck did.

Shawn Andrews
Bradley’s coming off an ACL tear. You don’t pick up right where you left off very quick.
This is true, but the good thing with Bradley is that he had the injury well before the season even started. So, even though an ACL is more than a 1 year injury, at least his more than 1 year started earlier than for most.
Fair Enough
But also, he is going to be asked to do more on his injury than Shawn Andrews will on his. He could be ok. Just he has to get back used to starting and stopping and lateral movement because that’s pretty much all LB is.
yes but you have to take into account that he's
going to be a bit tenitive… Its going to happen, he’s going to “take it easy” on a few snaps at the begining to ensure he doesnt get hurt again..

Shawn Andrews has the potential to make a huge impact.
But we’ve been banking on his potential for too long now. I’ll believe when I actually see it (and probably won’t), so my vote goes to Stew. His absence turned what could have been a strength on D to a weakness. Now, knowing how important Stew is I’d love to say Ingram will have an even bigger impact by coming in and being some kind of super-human at the TE position, but I’m sure he will have some struggles as rookies are wont to do.
Since Shawn Andrews will never play again...
…it has to be Bradley. But the function of ligaments in the knee is to provide stability for the knee. At a position that requires explosiveness AND the ability to cut and pivot on a dime to drop back into pass coverage AND the ability to move and shift laterally to make plays, Bradley’s knee is unlikely to be the same. Reconstructed ACL’s rarely are, especially for linebackers. This is not to say that Bradley will not be a good player, but it is to add a note of caution to the optimism.
...But if he pulls the rug on his quarterback, Reid must do it knowing that he let McNabb down more than McNabb ever let him down.

Hell, he'll be nice
just for the depth if nothing else.
About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.
I'd say...
Ingram if they didn’t already have so many great offensive weapons, but they do so he will just add to an already great mix.
Then I’d say Shawn Andrews if they needed a great run blocker – but they don’t really REALLY need that cause they are so good at the screen and play action,
So it has to be Bradley because the Defense is a flat-out let down right now and they need his leadership as much as his skills.
Definitely Stew
but its sad that Westbrook isn’t even mentioned….
and he won’t be…

If I have to pick one of the three, I'd go with Stew
Stewart Bradley will have the biggest impact either way. I don’t see the Eagles going out and trying to find an insurance LB in case he can’t come back so it’ll all be on him. If he can come back and be even an average linebacker, that will make the defense better than it was last year just to get some stability at linebacker. If he looks like the second coming of Levon Kirkland out there, he’ll make the biggest impact of the three from a negative standpoint. I really like Stew and really hope he comes back ready to rip some heads off and spit down their neck holes. Unfortunately, I think he’ll struggle in 2010 and be more effective in 2011.
I actually think Stacey Andrews has the best chance to come back healthy and effective in 2010. I have a feeling that we’ve seen the last of Shawn Andrews as an Eagle.
I have a bit of a sinking feeling that Ingram will turn out to be a risk that didn’t pay off. I have no problem with the Eagles drafting him when they did. It was a risk that was worth taking and sometimes those type of risks don’t pay off.
