Oh come let us adore him!
Thank you Brett Favre. Thank you Williams wall. Thank you Sidney Rice. Thank you Jared Allen. Thank you Tony Romo. Thank you Shaun Suisham.
Thank you for ensuring that Eagles' fans misery at the way our season ended would not be compounded by watching the Cowboys win the superbowl. Losing twice in a row to that team was bad enough, but had they won it all it would simply have been too much to bear. Also thank you for humbling the throngs of trash talkers that have bugged us for the past week.
We're done, our rivals have been embarrassed, and now we can move on with the offseason. Deep exhale. Oh and let our friends up in Minny know we appreciate it.
Let us lick your tears Cowboy "fans!"

Jets win chargers suck in playoffs as usual

Chargers = Cowboys West
A gang of preening criminals and cheats. Primadonas like Shawn Merriman and Philip Rivers. Talented crybabies like LaDanian Tomlinson.
Can’t win in playoffs.
Kicker always blows it for them.
Both thought Ryan Leaf could play NFL QB.
Suck it!
LT = Crybaby
Don’t you remember him crying about the Patriots “taunting” Shawn Roids Merriman by imitating his sack dance in 2006 in a previous Chargers blown season?
He’s deservedly a playoff loserboy.
I understood that though
I remember how pissed I would get when the other team would do the wing flap TO dance to taunt us
Let's get it Birds.

Thanks Chilly and Frazier
You know they still hate Dallas from our days. Running up the score is awesome, look at brooking and wade cry.
Brooking
What a freaking baby. Take your loss like a man. There is no running up the score in the NFL. You guys know I’ve said that a million times.
Even if they were running up the score, what kind of loser complains about it?
Especially given the coaching/personnel decisions made the last two weeks vis à vis Eagles.
Jason I remember a game where
Farve , Reggie White , and a few other Packers did the same thing after Dallas kicked a field goal with the game out of reach on Thanksgiving. They were all walking to the Dallas sideline yelling at Jimmy and the bunch. Its funny how when it happens to a team that team is upset and when they do it ( or in this case it is done to a team you sincerily hate) , then ofcourse its ok and hey they should stop them lol. We have all been on each side of the arguement and well I like one side and hate the other side……I think most of us do :)

Dallas should thank the Favres
They could have gone for two instead of just kicking the extra point. Like the Cowboys defense could have stopped it if they did?
Well Jason atleast your a happy person again :)

I refuse to adore Brett Favre and the Vikings.
Just because they beat the Cowboys doesn’t make them any better in my book. Not until Mr. Diva QB leaves that team.
>.>
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
To each to their own.
I just can’t stand Favre since his idiotic stunt with Packers before 2008 season.
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
Norv Turner.
Andy Reid has actually gotten to the Big Game as well as several Conference Champ games. Turner can’t come close to saying that. And with arguably better talent (at times).
What makes it better...
is that the Cowboys just didn’t lose. They didn’t just get their butts kicked. They got DOMINATED. They scored only 3 points, no TDs. They gave up 34. It was the second worst loss in Dallas playoff history.
I’m certainly not happy, not content. I’ll never be until the Eagles win it all (and it’ll be a little more than just “happy”). But I’m at peace now.

hey J I missed the last freakn quarter of the Dallas game or "loss" haha
Whats this whole..“running up the score” and Brooking Crybaby talk??! What happened? Can someone fill me in please
"... You play to win the game. Hello? You play to win the game. You don't play it to just play it. That's the great thing about sports: you play to win..."
It was 4th and 3 on the Dallas 11
At the 2 minute warning, instead of kicking a FG or even kneeling down, Favre throws a TD pass to Shiancoe. Brooking went over to the Minnesota sideline screaming.

it was the same kinda thing that Farve and Reggie white did
after Dallas kicked a field goal on them in a game. They complained and whined. They went to the Dallas sideline yelling at Jimmy and the coaching staff. Funny how Brooking is a crybaby, yet Farve is not or Reggie isn’t? No player likes to get run up on when it means nothing.

Well, that happened a really long time ago. I’m sure people said they looked like cry babies at the time.

Well, I’m sure people privately said it is what I’m going for, but most people either don’t remember or care. I seriously doubt that people are going to bring that up every time they see Keith Brooking from now till the end of time.
I like the guy and am defending him
he wears his emotions on his sleeves. He is the type of guy that teams need on their team and yes your right no one will remember it later on. I remember the Farve one though and that was a longtime ago :)

Maybe Dallas is just getting their just deserts then.
Its always nice when folks run the score up on them. I enjoyed the Patriots doing it a couple of years ago, and watching Chilly and the Favres do it tonight was also nice.
I'm ecstatic!
We had a great celebration at Chez Andrew B tonight.
T-Bone steaks on the grill. Plenty of beers. A celebratory cake. Andrew B and his 5 kids sitting around laughing at the Cowboys and taunting Tony Romo. Andrew B and his dear wife sitting and laughing at Jerrel Jones giving Wade the stare of death on the sideline. Jason Witten proving quite conclusively that he can’t block for shit. And then for a nightcap, the AFC Eagles (J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets – go Green teams!) beating the Cowboys West and their ex-Cowboys coach. And lastly Andrew B’s talented and astute daughter asking why in the world teams that are supposedly so good employ field goal kickers who can’t kick field goals.
Honestly, I could care less who did it, but there is nothing like toasting a humilating end of the Dallas Crygirls season.
Not to mention...
The joy of watching Tony Homo getting absolutely mangled all day…
I refuse to thank Farve cause he’s a huge Dushbag, but thank you Sidney Rice and thank you D-line.
Edwards, Allen and the Williams absolutely destroyed the cowboys line and beat up Homo all day (hate crime lol). The highlights of Homo getting thrown around, dropping the ball, and dbl clutching and throwing it right to Leber will never get old…as long as the tv is on mute that is.

Mike Jenkins...
Nice coverage on Rice’s 3rd TD, by the way, punctuated by him looking for a flag to try to save face.
simple
27-3 Vikings lead at the 2 minute warning, at the Dallas 11, 3rd down, Vikes go for it and score a TD to make the score 34-3. Brookings runs to the sideline to yap at Minn how they shouldn’t have done that, instead of, y’know, stopping the Vikes from making a play. And then Dallas fans cry about running up the score (some of them anyway, others take it like a man).
Did anybody see Childress' press conference?
“All the Tasmanian Devils coming up from Dallas that were going to just roll through Minnesota- I told my guys to shut up, and we’ll play them on Sunday when the get here.”
I got the sense that he REALLY hates Dallas, and all the media fawning over them. Maybe why he “ran the score up.”

run the score up? I don’t think it will happen cause I believe this Vikes team is better defensively…..so just curious?

wait the 41-0 game?
I think I remember a few things said on the big blue blog by some Viking fans. I will look take the time to look back ….also on the 41-0 did the Giants score a touchdown with less than 2 minutes left in the game on a pass play? I don’t see the Giants doing something like that but I could be wrong.
Would I whine about it? No
Your on the good side of the play and easy to say that…..till it happens its just hindsight.

The Cowboys own the Eagles...
and the Vikings just pwned Dallas, so where does put Philly in the NFL pecking order….way at the bottom by my estimation.
Personally, as a Saints fan, I’m glad the whole snickering NFC East is on football holiday, out of the playoffs, out of football for 8 months. Maybe you guys can adopt the JETS or something. Enjoy the rest of your offseason fellas.
Personally if I was a saints fan I would be
humbled by the fact of having a winning season and being associated with Superbowl talk. Both happen rarely and yet they have to be some of the most cocky fans for such an inept franchise. I was rooting for them this year because of that city and how their fans actually go to the game with brown bas. Yet fans like this make me re-think my logic.

I don’t get the vitriol of the Saints’ fans toward the Eagles. Where does this come from? I’ll root for the Saints because I like Brees and have a good friend who happens to be a Saints fan, but I just really don’t understand the hatred. You’d think a beleaguered franchise like the Saints and their respective fans would share something in common with the Eagles. And let me tell you: their fans are as equally hostile as any you’ll find in South Philly (personal experience).
same reason why random (even afc) teams hate the cowboys
no real good reason. Eagles fans also have a reputation (not saying its true, just stating what i hear) of having bad fans. Every team has bad fans, fans are real people, some good ones some bad ones, its that simple.
Haha
There are LOTS of reason to hate the Cowboys for any fan:
1. This “America’s Team” crap. There are 32 teams, none is a team of the whole country.
2. Their fans are EVERYWHERE, and most have never been to Dallas, much less grown up there.
3. The media goes NUTS everytime they win.
That’s just three for starters.

The America's team thing is so insignificant
I’ve never referred to them as that, but I find it hilarious how people get so worked up over. Its silly, I feel like the people that get bugged by it is the only reason its still used. People like the cowboys, that’s why the media follows them so much. Its what people generally wanna see. The mainstream media sucks anyway, so that’s another silly thing to get upset about. I was merely justifying hatred toward you’re fanbase, not starting a war bud.
But that's just it
It’s all based on made-up media bullshit or stuff that’s enforced by said lazy media. We go through the same thing as Eagles fans. I mean, I’ve never booed anyone at the draft or cheered an injured player on the field—nor have I ever thrown a snowball at Santa Claus—yet I have to pay for those sins every. single. day. As a fan of the “America’s Team,” you are a fan of a team that’s the simultaneously most-loved and most-hated team in the NFL (and all your fans are bandwagon fans)—it, too, most also be tiring. I can imagine the fallout for Romo this week. It won’t be pretty.
these are all reasons to hate favre btw
as a dallas fan, i might honestly rather see the eagles win a sb than favre
well
maybe
Well
Since we beat all of the non-playoff NFC teams we played, we’re above them.
It tells me the Cowboys were a bad matchup for the Eagles, who were very beat up.
You know, I sort of wanted the Saints to win, but I think I’ll have to root for the Vikings now, especially with the Childress connection.

true....the last part of my comment was uncalled for...
but this thread struck me as extremely odd given how Dallas destroyed your team two weeks in a row. I mean where DOES this put the Eagles now for 2010?
I’m guessing at the same level as the Chiefs and Raiders? Or somewhere in between given the Raiders hold the latest win over you guys anyways?
Eagles fans are notorious for turning on their team, booing draft picks, spitting on fields, cheering injuries, etc. Why the vitriol? Well, don’t you guys thrive on it?
Jesus bud
You don’t get it.
We HATE the Cowboys. We LOVE seeing them getting destroyed. We made NO comment on who we want to win next week, this is just THIS week. If your team destroyed the Cowboys, we’d say the same things.
We are NOT at the same level as the Chiefs or Raiders, only an idiot would say that. We went 11-5, beat 10 of 11 non-playoff teams. That’s a okay team. A few changes, and we’ll be very legitimate contenders. We’re in the top 12 teams (HELLO WE MADE THE PLAYOFFS!).
Why the vitrol and stupid comments from you?
Man, I stopped hating the Saints earlier this year, now I’m REALLY starting to hate them again.
Reid- Best Coach in Eagles History

Not really
There are all kinds of Eagles’ fans, just as there are all kinds of people in everyday life.
This thread is just a bunch of fans enjoying their biggest rival getting taken out since the Eagles couldn’t do the job themselves. We’ve had quite the troll traffic this week as a result.
Oh, and I think the Eagles are a slightly better organization than the Chiefs or Raiders.
"where DOES this put the Eagles now for 2010?"
With a second place schedule, a better set of draft picks, no uncapped year restrictions, and a hunger for revenge.
Yes, Dallas destroyed a team playing 3 scrub O-linemen and 3 scrub linebackers. Woohoo. They can beat guys signed off the practice squad and brought off the inactive roster. Aren’t they special?
Eagles fans are notorious for turning on their team
not true…we just boo them when they play poorly, but we support them endlessly. I would say wearing bags over your head because you’re ashamed to be associated with the team is turning on them.

booing draft picks
who doesn’t boo draft picks?
(video is of Jets fans booing countless draft picks. but for some reason we’re the ones that always boo draft picks…WRONG!)
spitting on fields
that wasn’t a fan that was a staffer…get it right! also, players spit all over the field. What’s the big deal?
cheering injuries
that’s happened once and many eagles fans find it despicable. but sure, continue to call us scum of earth or whatever the MSM told you to.
This whole post just kinda shows that you have no idea what you’re talking about. Dallas may have destroyed the eagles, but the eagles destroyed the giants, who destroyed the cowboys. We beat up on each other. We’re not at the same level as the chiefs or raiders because we lost twice in a row to one team. The eagles still finished 11-5 in spite of being one of the most injured teams in the league. Comments at that level of ignorance indicate that you’ve probably rarely watched football, and will go back to not watching it once the saints suck again.
So you guys are worse than the bucs?
Come on dude…everyone knows you can’t always play the “Team A beat Team B and Team B beat Team C; therefore Team A is better than Team C” crap in the NFL. If you could, the Eagles won the Superbowl last year.
The Cowboys are just a (very) bad matchup for the Eagles right now. The Giants, who were clearly worse than the Eagles this year, were a very bad matchup for the Cowboys. I don’t think the Eagles are as bad as they looked the last 2 weeks.
The Cowboys are a very good team, as much as it pains me to say that, but the were also very fortunate injury-wise this year, while the Eagles were very unfortunate.
Wow. Why do you hate the Eagles so much?
I am an Eagles fan first and a Saints fan second. Never once saw anything wrong with that. The Eagles are a good team with an explosive offense who just didn’t match up well with the Cowboys this year. The Eagles did make the playoffs and could have had the two seed, so I would they are a tad better than the Raiders. Fluky losses happen. (Tampa Bay anyone?) Eagles are in position to be an NFC contender next year alongside Dallas, New Orleans, and maybe Minnesota.
Eagles fans are only notorious for that stuff because the media won’t let it go. The Jets boo far more draft picks, plenty teams having teams that throw shit and spit and the Eagles never booed an injury. That was a misread situation that has lived on thanks to media using it to fit Eagles fans into a category. Also, we never turn on our teams. We might turn on players that don’t give it their all or better our teams, but never the team.
I am confounded by you. All the Saints fans I know are simply happy with what is happening and humbled by it all. Yet here you are being a douche to make it seem like Saints fans are douches.
On another note
IF (a big, big if), the Eagles get to the Super Bowl, they’ll be playing it in Dallas.
Man, can you imagine our first Super Bowl win IN Dallas…
Nah, its too good to happen to us.

i think running up the score was lame (on 4th down) but whining about it is pretty shitty too
i was hoping you guys would be united in favre hatred too though. go saints?
Points.
Saints fans in New Orleans aren’t bad at all, I lived there. They’re typically a little gung-ho about the city and the team but past that they just love rooting for their team. Don’t take the trolling douchebags as typical. That said, haven’t met many outside of New Orleans so maybe there is a bandwagon crowd of idiots.
There is no running up the score in the NFL. If there were, they should have done it anyways. It honestly seemed to me like Childress and Favre were pissed and wanted to put it on ‘em purposefully. They were probably pissed about the media fawning.
I’m pissed about Flozell Adams being a dirty shithead and not getting called for it, pissed about the fact that one out of every two players on that Cowboy roster celebrates every first down or tackle as if they were the second coming of Christ, pissed off at Jerryworld’s finger-to-the-football-gods. I’m pissed that they beat us twice, but mostly for those reasons. I’m usually not pissed when we lose – disillusioned, depressed, disappointed – this one pissed me off because we lost to that team. I’m glad someone stuck it on ’em.

Just solidifies that the Eagles need to get more pressure with their front four. They have to in my opinion give as much money to julius peppers as he wants to bring him to Philly. Usually after tough postseasons they do make some big moves. We shall see I guess.
