I was hoping things would settle down a bit to real posts
over everyone writting the same thing over and over. That said….
McNabb should be in his prime right now. The rest of the team is young, but McNabb is basically as good as he ever will be right now. Is this good enough?
With McNabb and Kolb going into the final year of both of their contracts do we pay one or both of them big money to stay?
The whole deal reminds me of Farve/Rodgers in Greenbay… do you stick with a guy that might be better at this moment on a young team, or do you pull the trigger on the next guy, free up cap space and maybe spend 1 season rebuilding.
but by responding
you are just continuing the cycle.

Fire Andy Reid...
…you’re right. It starts at the top.
...But if he pulls the rug on his quarterback, Reid must do it knowing that he let McNabb down more than McNabb ever let him down.

Who would you replace him with?

Well...
…just about anyone else, really.
...But if he pulls the rug on his quarterback, Reid must do it knowing that he let McNabb down more than McNabb ever let him down.

Quality QB's
as rare as they are, are more plentiful than quality head coaches…McNabb would be easier to replace

Wouldn't fit our system with the players we have
He would have to start over from scratch to make it HIS system. The last time he did that, it took him 14 years to get a SB….no thanks. I’m with jalarsen1, McNabb would be WAY easier to replace.

Blame game......
I see Brady is being blamed for New England’s lose and some are wondering if he’ll be around next year. He only had 38 passing yards in the first half of their game…..the Patriots golden boy….lol. The QB is always the first to be blamed. and Donovan has been blamed for the past 2-3- years. I’m still blaming T.O. and his prima donna butt for leaving way back when. The Eagles should have been able to reach the super bowl the next year too, but noooooooo T.O. wasn’t one to give it his all again. In 2008 at 9-6-1 the Eagles went deep into the 2009 playoffs with old veterans and one super duper rookie playing their butts off. This is year the Eagles went 11-5 with a make shift OL and a linebacking group that never found its identity…..plus at one time there were 4 rookie starters and several first year players on the field. 11-5………..how the hell did that happened??? It’s true they played some mediocre teams and a couple not so good teams….especially the lose to Oakland. Make that a win and we would have been 12-4 without having to play Dallas a second time and the second seed sown up with a by week. I wonder how the Saints, Cowboys, Colts, Chargers, Vikings would have faired with the number of injuries at key positions that they Eagles had?? Well…..we’ll never know. 11-5……..how the hell did that happen???
Look im sorry but this "you cant blame Dmac b/c its a team effort"
thing is stupid… Point is that he’s choked “the big game” every singe time, this year the final 2 cowboys games were “the big game” to us considering they were for the #2 seed and playoffs and McNabb sucked ass in both.
While it’s not his fault completely he had a significant role in it. Only completing like 4 passes in the first Half is unexceptable, I wouldve rathered watched fucking Brady Quinn or Russel behind center at that point.. Also he has this problem with throwing it as hard as possible even when the recievers three yards from him making it impossible to catch…. Im sorry but the McNabb Era has to end, he doesnt have the sack to take us all the way.
thats Cobb on Kolb crime if you ask me... as said by yophillybro
Among active quarterbacks, Mcnabb is tied for the thrid most playoff wins. Behind Brady, and Farve and tied with Warner. He has a higher winning percentage in the playoffs than Farve.
Can we shutup about Mcnabb “not showing up in big games”. It is simply not true. Yeah he had a bad week last week. But Mcnabb is a baller, and hes not going anywhere.
jho, people throw out the word choke
and have no idea what it means – it’s just an easy word to throw out there, as if it solidifies your spot as a ‘true sports fan’ b/c you can say “he choked,” – “he came up small,” blah blah blah
what these folks are really covering up is their own personal problems.
what they’re really saying is that: “I choke in big games, too…maybe at work, maybe at home – I come up small when it matters most…”
when the EAGLES win the Super Bowl, with #5 under center – they will all come out the wood work and say “we were behind him his entire career” – “we only gave him tough love because we’re die-hard Philly fans” … “we held him to the high standards”
when in reality -they’re all foolish, foolish, foolish.
like i repeated in other posts – most of these guys would prefer 1 super bowl ring, 10 losing seasons then consistency.
i hate the fact the Eagles haven’t won, either. but when they do, do me a favor – don’t come celebrate donovan.
just celebrate the team victory and don’t be fake.
mcnabb deserves so much better from his city.
