Redskins Prepare to Make Shanahan the Highest-Paid Coach in NFL History
According to league sources, all Mike Shanahan has to do is sign the contract Washington has already drawn up for him and he'll be more than $50 million richer. I guess anything is better than Zorn, right?

This bodes very badly for us. Cerrato was the best thing the Redskins ever did for the Eagles. Th change in philosophy and hiring of Shanahan… we better look out.

if i were shanny, i would have it explicitly spelled out in my contract that snyder has no input into player/personnel moves.

I love this hire. After losing John Elway, what the fuck did Mike Shanahan ever do? SQUAT. In fact, he engineered one of the great late season collapses that led to his firing. He just had to win one game out of 3 to make the playoffs last year. ONE FUCKING GAME OUT OF 3. He couldn’t do it.
Fuck Mike Shanahan and that one dead, lazy eye of his. I’m more worried about Dallas for the next couple years, honestly. Good luck with those cancers D’Angelo Hall and Haynesworth, btw.

Shanny is a good coach
The Redskins have a very talented defense, if they just got an offense that could put up 20-24 ponits a game they would be pretty damn good. Haynesworth, Orakpo, Fletcher, the y have some damn good players. A few moves here and there and they could at least be an 8-8 or 9-7 team easy

Marty Schottenheimer and Norv Turner and Bill Callahan all out-couched Shanahan. He’s better than Zorn, but he’s a retread. I’m not worried about him. He’s the guy that thought Jay Cutler was the second coming of Elway.
