Now the season is here and we are getting ready to play the first game of the season against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday in North Carolina."

But, since you asked about the individual battle - I'm a beast, too. Let the beasting begin, if you will."

Buckley A Success Story For Eagles - Philadelphia Eagles
After spending two seasons on the San Diego Chargers practice squad hoping for a chance in a crowded backfield that, at times, included stalwarts LaDainian Tomlinson, Michael Turner and Darren Sproles, Buckley came to the Eagles' mini-camp in the spring and looked like a roster long shot.

that quote is fuckin awsome! thats why i love sean .. and hes the man when hes on the field .. dominant guard .. and people say hes not one of the best guards in the nfl .. u want to argue westy when hes not .. but dont want to argue for sean when he is that talented .. i dont get it .. im reffering to the ppl in my best in nfl post who were saying andrews wasnt the best guard

I think it’s because alot of people have forgotten just how dominant he was when he was on the field for us…take the off the field issues off the table and you have the best guard in the NFL. Hopefully hes just as big of Beast at tackle.

I think Shawn Andrews is a very talented linemen when healthy … I’ve never seen Sean Andrews play though so I can’t comment on that.

Awesome stuff!

Good to see Sean confident again. I’m hoping he’ll put it all together for the kind of monster year he deserves.

great post-JasonB

“Of course, I have two real good running backs in front of me (Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy),” Buckley said. “Whatever role I can fill to help this team then I’ll fill that role.”

best trio of eagles running i can remember in some time .. in my opinion.. GO EAGLES

Buckley has a great head on his shoulders
“I’m going to be mostly a special teams guy,” he said. “I’m going to go out there and give it all I got on special teams, and that can really change a game.”

While he knows that he isn’t a featured back on the roster, he also knows that he will be used in other ways to help this team, and he seems just fine, pushing his hardest wherever they put him. I wish all players had the W as the focus and not the ME or I in focus!

We got a real winner here!!

He's built for special teams too

He’s on the team because he’s a good RB, but he also has some size to help our special teams. (The RB that must not be named) didn’t even do a good job getting in the way of people while trying to block.

Good solid all around player with a good head on his shoulders. I like it

lame

i hate that .. buckley needs to be more confident

are you stupid?

how is that not confident? I’m sorry, he’s saying that while he will be on special teams, he can still b a game changer. he is the 3rd RB behind BRIAN FUCKING WESTBROOK, and Lesean McCoy? what are you looking for him to say

“im better then the guys ahead of me, and shouldn’t be on special teams, i wanna start!”

if so that’s just dumb! he has been in the league for a few years and played behind LT Michael Turner, and Sproles, 3 great backs, he knows how to contribute, and knows that he may not be the featured back, but still plans to make an impact!

JIBTA i have only been on this blog for about 2 days. and have been reading it for a few weeks now….and day in and day out you prove yourself to be a jackass…wtf?

I'm impressed

Buckley really does have a good head on his shoulders and I love watching him play. I wouldn’t mind seeing him take a few series here or there and fighting McCoy for his position as the backup RB. I love watching him play because he shows no fear with his running and is a hard hitter. He has heart and that can take you a long way.

I have a feeling if westbrook gets hurt in the midseason

mccoy and buckley will be a monster two headed attack, but perhaps i’m getting ahead of myself….i’m just not that confident in westbrook’s health at this point….anyone else?

by immynimmy on Sep 9, 2009 11:39 AM EDT reply actions

well its safe to say that he hasn’t played all 16 games but has been able to start at least 14-15 games in the past 3 years. He may not play the whole game because of getting banged up but I’m thinking we’ll still be able to use him throughout the season. Fingers Crossed!

speaking of point spreads...

pitt and tenn tomorrow… pitt favored by 5… what do y’all think?

home team gets 3 and they are Superbowl champs only getting 2 …. seems like Vegas thinks Tenn can win this one or at least keep it close.
