Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Continues Rampage, New York Wins On Road

Congrats Kolb!

 50436_eagles_jets_football_medium

A lot of Eagles fans hate this dude, some on this blog love him still. So riddle me this. Isn't being a pro about making big plays on short notice? Or what about being called on in difficult situations? Johnny Unitas played off the bench in Superbowl III for Earl Morrall and won. Sure he would be better if he practiced a full week with the starters. I bet that would have helped out the other two Panther quarterbacks. But that's when as a back up you should be paying attention to everything the starters do so when something like this happens, you won't drag down your team. Honestly, I see him as a bust, and I think the Eagles signed Vick to add something now and after McNabb. That's right I'm saying Vick is our guy after McNabb retires. But Kolb has another opportunity to prove the haters wrong. Seriously, I WANT TO BE WRONG. We'll see how effective Kolb is against a poor defense.

Star-divide

Congrats Kolb, you have proved the haters wrong. Yeah that was the last words I had on the subject from "Oh, when the Saints, come marchin' in." In fact after the Saints game I was going to rant on Kolb again, but he didn't do a bad job except for the inablitly to keep a drive going in the second half of the Saints game. So I gave him a oppurtiny before I made a fool out of myself calling him a bust after a impressive Cheifs game and two consecutive 300+ passing yards, which is a NFL first. So good job Kolb, I feel much better with the future of the team in your hands. But, I would still like if he could improved accuracy. It was still kinda poor, but hey, it was your second start and the only way you work on that is in the game.

I dont care what anyone says about him he can play, he just needed some time n he showed that he can play, which now i can rest no having to worry about oh whats gonna happen if Donovan goes down, i know that Kolb can step in n get it done.

Improve accuracy?

Was it just me or is this an insane comment?!!!

Kolb was accurate all game, he never came out and threw 5 horrible worm burners *cough*Number 5*cough* in a row. He was able to hit guys in stride, ran the west coast offense as it is designed, spreading the ball and using the mismatch at TE.

This is in no way me saying that we should go Kolb over McNabb, but it is my way of saying Kolb over Vick.

Can we stop with the "Kolb or (fill in the blank) haters" nonsense...

I think I can speak for the Eagle fans that were skeptical of Kolb (myself not being among them, for the record) that they wanted Kolb to do well. He’s an Eagle. Nobody “hates” or “hated” Kolb. That’s just stupid. And yeah, I realize that the term “hater” doesn’t mean you “hate” someone in the literal sense, but can we all please make a concerted effort to rid that of our vocabularies? It’s dumb.

Thanks.

Bye, Big Stew and JJ :(

I think people hated Kolb big time

I don’t think I’m going out on a limb when I saw a good number of people wanted to see him fail, so that it could somehow teach Andy a lesson about his pi$$ poor draft trade…or whatever provocation they needed to dislike the guy. Maybe they thought Anthony Spencer would be better…

Kolb probably isn’t an effective off-the-bench guy, like say, Manu Ginobli (who can rip it up as a starter or backup). He’s a dude that has to start to be at his best. Whereas A.J. Feeley is the opposite.

Eagle fans who wish anyone on the team to fail is a piece of shit.

hes still young

he still has yet to see a variety of defenses and schemes. i loved what i saw from him so far, real potential. i dont think hes going to be a joe flacco or matt ryan right out of the gate, those are rare. but hey who knows. we just have to wait and see
