Make or break tonight for Brandon Gibson
Tonight is an important night for many players. One of these players is wide receiver Brandon Gibson. Throughout the preseason he has turned what seemed to be a two-man competition for the fifth wide receiver slot into a three-man battle. I think this is going to be the hardest position to choose when it comes down to making the final cuts. Gibson is a great player but I think the Eagles believe he may not be quite ready. However, I also think that they are worried about losing him if they do indeed cut him.
Reggie Brown looked good in the last game but how many chances does this guy really deserve? I don’t think the Eagles are ready to take another chance with him. There’s gotta be someone who would at least give up a late round pick for him. Take it.
Hank Baskett has what Eagles wide receivers tend usually not to have, size. He isn’t a monster but he does have good height and jumping ability. This is what makes him a threat around the goal line with the fade pass. The question is whether or not he can contribute in other areas.
If the Eagles keep five receivers, who do you think fills the final spot? Do you think there’s any chance they keep six receivers?

GOTTA FIND A WAY......................
To keep this Gibson kid. Seems like he has a great attitude, hes very coachable and doesnt have a big ego like the other diva WR’s. Also imagine how fukin sick it would be if we cut him and the giants pick him up. I think he has way to much potential to be let go. I kno Hank has value as a special teams guy but i think in a couple years he wont be even remotely close to being as good as Gibson can be. And for Reggie……well its a shame because i still think he can produce in this league, unfortunetly i just dont see it being as a eagle.
BOTTOM LINE, GIBSON STAYS……..TO MUCH POTENTIAL AND UPSIDE TO LET GO.
From what I have heard is that
Baskett and Brown are basically “trying out” for the jets tonight, the jets have showed interest in them both so I can see one if not both of them heading there this weekend…
This is great because now we can keep Gibson who is a pretty good player making out WR core Jackson, Curtis, Avant, Maclin and Gibson.. I dont know about you but that sounds pretty damn good to me.
theyd better keep gibson.
imagine our fully developed wideout core down the road. Jackson, Maclin, Avant, and Gibson. I’m pretty excited about this kid.
