Eagles holes

Heading into a much needed early bye week, the eagles are still making a lot of changes to their 53 man roster. This offseason and the start of the season has been a craaaazy ride, filled with a lot of surprises, and a lot of tragic injuries. After a 2 week break Eagles starting QB will probably be back under center. Backup Kevin Kolb has impressed the mayority of the fans and has cemented himself as the backup quarterback, and Mike vick, well he's still a project.

So, obviously, the odd man out is 4th stringer Jeff Garcia, but heres the question:

who are the eagles going to bring to the team?

I guess right now the biggest hole is in the LB position IMO, but who would you bring?

Trotter? Seriously? Brooks? I'm not at all acquainted with the free agents right now and thats why I want your comments and opinions.

Where do you see the biggest hole in the team? and who would you sign to fill it?

Floor's yours gentlemen.

Trotter

Leadership on defense is the biggest hole.

especially if the guy is running around like the trotter of old.

it shocked me when i heard he was only 31. but i would love to see the axeman back for a third time.

He's 32

but I was also surprised, I thought he was at least that old when we let him go 3 years ago

Holes

better WLB, SLB, (both ones that can cover better, and more aggresive), FS
Back up T, CB, RB, MLB, QB (for the future after McNabb goes, unless Vick stays as Back up)

um

WLB has been pretty good actually Akeem is our best LB so far this season and he hasnt really made any noticable mistakes from what I have seen, he has been agressive and has been good in coverage…

SLB, well gocong normally turns it on late in the season, I bet he does alot better after the bye week, although he hasnt made noticable mistakes.

FS is not a problem, I see why Harris was the chosen one, the dude can make an open field tackle which is what we were missing in the preseason from demps and Jones, Macho would’ve been a 2nd rounder if would’ve nutted up and entered as a safety.. Basically were doing the reverse Dawkins effect on him, were protecting him while he is young, then were gonna slowly introduce him to more and more situations… He has 9 tackles with 8 solo, not particularly amazing but for a rookie thats not bad for our scheme and I saw him in Cassels face sunday 4 or 5 times.. I like the kid he can play.

Backup T is sorta a problem, once Herremans returns then we should be fine cuz if needed he can slide our to LT or RT.

CB isnt a problem, they just need to get hobb’s outta there, he is sorta a joke at this point and we need to grow hanson. Hobb’s is the only problem.

RB doesnt concern me, McCoy and Bunkley can get it done if needed. Im worried about Westbrook though.

MLB will be fine. Everyone’s saying that he has been doing well at MLB, its just that were used to Bradley type of play and we’ve forgotten that a LB that plays a different style can still produce…

QB… Are you kidding? Kolb is the man, I see us drafting someone in the 3rd or 4th this year if Vick does not stay, if he does then it will be a year after that.

You misunderstood all of my needs.

I am talking about depth guys, not starters.

The defense is OK, but can use some upgrades, We can use some more monsters on defense.

Lets review my needs.
WLB – Akeem is good, but I would like a BEAST out there.
SLB – I love Gocong, but I need an intimidator, someone who eats peoples children
FS – He is adequate, but there are safeties out there that make you wet you pants, he isn’t one of them.

I know you love our Defense, but they got torched by the Saints, they are a little above average, but I want to have a GREAT defense, good isn’t enough for me.

T – Common bro, we have 1 backup tackle in Dunlap, should be no arguement there, we need more depth there. Don’t count on your starting guard to back up Tackle. Andrews is not dependable, not even as a backup.

CB – You mean to say, you are impressed by Ellis Hobbs? Wow, we need another young guy there to take Hobbs spot, someone who can spell Brown or Asante. Hanson is good, but we need another guy better than Ellis. He is a joke bro. Sorry to say bro.

RB – BWest may be gone at the end of the year, who backs up McCoy and Buckley? I thought we usually carry 3 RB

MLB – Stu starts, but I don’t think the team has any more faith in Mays any more, you need a more dependable backup there, Omar is OK, but he is really a Will LB, and should be the backup there, not the Mike. Sorry bro, we need a true backup, Trott is only here for this year.

QB – Are you kidding me? If we trade McNabb, and Kolb starts with Vick as Backup. Who is number 3?

It seem that if it were up to you, you wouldn’t draft anyone would you? I was just refering to things that I would sure up in the draft, these are glaring needs, but positions that can use a little bit of an ugrade. But for the most part, we can get by fine for now, but I would really like to see better competition as some of the LB and safety spots, maybe use some high picks there, and get better backups in the event of injuries. We gotta draft someone with those 400 picks we have next year.

What positions do you address with the draft next year.
