Tidbits from Sunday
- 2009 is not 2008. The Titans are 0-3. The Jets are 3-0. The Broncos are 3-0.
- The Bengals are one freak play away from being undefeated, but currently stand at 2-1 after defeating the Superbowl champion Steelers.
- Cedric Benson doesn't suck?! He ran for 76 yards and a TD against the Steelers, a team who gave up 29 rushing yards to Matt Forte and 57 rushing yards to Chris Johnson. He's averaging 98 yards a game.
- The official name of the color the Seahawks wore today is "Brain Hemorrhage Green"
- The Ravens are winning through their dominating... offense?!
- Kevin Kolb is the first QB in NFL history to throw for 300+ yards in each of his first two starts.
- Mark Sanchez is the only QB in NFL history to go 3-0 as a rookie.
- Today the Titans played the Jets, with the Jets wearing Titans jerseys, and the Titans wearing Oilers jerseys.
- Today was the first day since 1996 that Terrell Owens played without recording a catch.
- The Browns have been outscored by a league worst 66 points by scoring a league worst 2 touchdowns (one on offense, one on a punt return). Ridiculous.
- And of course, we can't forget to congratulate the Lions on their first win since December 20, 2007. New coach, new logo, new QB, new season. Hell, for all we know, they could finish 14-2.
Go Eagles! Today was a real exciting day. Even though we played the Chiefs, we got an exciting glimpse of what the future in Philadelphia could hold, and it looked good. Kolb, McCoy, Jackson, Maclin, and Celek? Wow. Find a better set of young skill-position players in the league. They could be downright scary.

parody...
someone call David Stern and let him know that the NBA could have used this the last 10 yrs.
Congratulations
to the Lions. They won, and they beat our rival.
Also, you forgot one little tidbit: Brett Favre still got it.
correction
TJack doesn’t make that throw and drive them up the field 80 yards with no time outs in 1:20 against that defense. Not to take anything away from the catch but Brett still has it and that was simply magic.
It’s ok not to like the guy but give him the credit he is due.
Brett Favre didn’t even know who he was throwing to. Lewis made a pretty fantastic catch. I’d give it 60/40 in favor of Lewis.
I am the people's troll :3™
He put it the only place he could that it could be caught and not intercepted. Again, not taking anything away from the catch but the whole drive and that last play proves he still has it.
Oh, and he needed to know who he was throwing to? He was scrambling and Lewis wasn’t even supposed to be in on that play! What does the fact he didn’t know who is was take points away from the skill required? LMAO!
Again, like him or not but the guy proved he still has something left in the tank.
the only reason anyone here is giving more credit to Greg Lewis is cause he was on the eagles for longer than anyone could logically explain (seriously, he was on this team for years and somehow didn’t get cut). Nothing against Favre…we’re just Lewis homers.
Got you
I knew that but had never heard fo him before we picked him up.

also
if you ever play the patriots, Greg lewis will blow everyone’s mind. I think he scored every other TD of his career against the pats.
Yes he did
That’s why they picked him up.

Didn't the Broncos start 5-1 last year?
Take a look at their next 8 games…brutal.
vs Dallas
vs New England
at San Diego
at Baltimore
vs Pittsburgh
at Washington
vs San Diego
vs New York Giants
Enjoy 3-0 while you can Broncos, I give you 3 more wins along the way.
Felix is better than Brian. You can call me FIBTB.
Damn
That is tough! They are just as likely to only get one win out of that too. Realistically I think they might salvage one more than that and are probably looking at a 5-6 record headed in to week (game) 12.
GOOD POST
my two cents…
1) the steelers are also a coin toss from being 0-3
2) While that Bengals drive was incredibly impressive, I could not believe they spiked the ball on first down with to TOs left… Could have easily cost them the game
3) Yeah, those Seattle jersey’s are horrendous… i wonder if they are radioactive
4) i hate to say i told you so about Kevin kolb but the kid can play… this offseason is going to be incredibly interesting from a personnel standpoint. Theres no way in my opinion that that Vick is here next year… and i cant imagine Kevin wanting to sit another year considering he could easily start other places. Any chance that this is it for 5 in philly. I just sounded like the typical philly fan that irritates me, but it is something to think about
5) Glew has always had a knack for the big TD catch

I noticed #2 when it happened, too.
As for #4, heck, I was one of very few Kolb supporters before he played the Saints.

I'd be in that group
or actually you should call it, “I reserved judgement on Kevin Kolb until after he made his first start”

It wouldn’t surprise me if we traded McNabb and kept both Kolb and Vick in the off season. Assuming Reid is confident about Kolb.
There is 0% chance we keep Vick. We can trade him for a draft pick, use a lower draft pick on a Tebow style QB (if they intend on playing offense like this), use him in a similar fashion, but for cheaper.
Mike Vick is going to a QB needy team in the offseason assuming he keeps up his good behavior.

agreed
barring injury, Vick is going to have some quality trade value. Have you seen the free agent quarterbacks this year? Terrible. If teams are looking for a vet, they’ll be calling us.

If i were to bet
I’d say vick lands in either St Louis or Washington.
Snyder would take a chance on him

Best news of the day:
Today was the first day since 1996 that Terrell Owens played without recording a catch.
