Several Teams were interested in Baskett?
Aaron Wilson, of the National Football Post, reports several teams contacted the Philadelphia Eagles about trading for WR Hank Baskett, who was released Tuesday, Sept. 15. The Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs were some of the teams that had shown interest in Baskett, according to a league source. If this was the case why did we let him go for nothing?...I know we wanted Vick to practice but man I think they jumped the gun a day or two early on this move...sorry if I wrote this wrong it's my first FanPost...love the website...read every article ..just never post!

The other teams had to know the move was coming. If they just waited until the Eagles had no other option but to release Baskett, they could pick him up without having to spend a draft pick (or whatever the Eagles were asking for).

andrews on IR did clear up space for garcia. however vick was never on the 53 he was on a special exception list that did not count toward a roster spot so in order to activate him someone else had to go. the roster is currently set at 53

did anyone catch that....
Lorenzo Booker apparantly tried out for the Giants? Good stuff, almost made my day. I think he could join San Diego though because of LT’s injury or he could get Jacksonville as they are looking for a 3rd running back.

even if teams were interested in baskett
they probably didnt want to trade a pick.

I think I read somewhere on PE.com
That a team would have to have given up no less that a second rounder for him due to some s**t with his contract (probably have to pay for Kendra too). I don’t remember where I read it though.

About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.
