Garcia or Kolb

I wanted to see what BGN thought. Who should start next weeks game, Garcia or Kolb.

Star-divide

If McNabb isn't back week 3, who should start, Vick, Garcia, or Kolb? In my opinion, i think Garcia should start. I hope McNabb will be back week 3, and if not, either Vick or Garcia should start. I felt high about Winston Justise, but i just don't think Kolb should start. Sure, i haven't given  him enough time, he's only played in like 2 games, but i just think we should have a Vetern. Our d-line looked GOOD. WIN A SUPER BOWL FOR JIM JOHNSON.

my god Garcia is not ready, he hasnt even practiced yet

plus this would be the definitive test for Kolb, if he sucks and McNabb is still out for the KC game, then Garcia can start if he deprograms all that raiders bs in time

Kolb

He has been with the team, Garcia just got here. Also Reid made a good point that people don’t think about myself included when he has came into games he has had no reps with the first team and if he gets those reps we could see a completely different player

KOLD NOBODY ELSE

if u put Garcia in now, that will make killed all hope for Kolb because u say all the right things about him that he is the guy, and all that good sh!t and then u bring in Garcia and start him over Kolb, just not gonna happen…..I think if Dovonan dosent play this week which i hope he does Kolb is gonna have a good game, saints have no D Lions scored 27 point on them.

My gut's still saying McNabb's gonna start.

But, as of right now, it’s Kolb’s job. He has a week of practice with the starters, and he usually plays better with that practice (see Preseason). Garcia just came aboard because…well, just in case Kolb gets injured. Or plays terribly.

With those things being said, even if Garcia were to start, we’ll be running more than throwing. We’ll use the three combinations of Westy, Shady, and Weaver.

I want McNabb 100%

Not in a position to get lost for the season

I think we bring back Klecko and have him play a couple downs as QB. He’s played every other position on this team practically.

kolb...

i can’t stand the guy, but this is his chance to prepare with the first team, start an nfl game, and show the team what he’s got against a 1st-team (albiet mediocre) defense. garcia is just here in case kolb gets hurt. he’s merely a backup.

I seriously can’t fucking believe there’s people that think Garcia should start. Jesus Christ people. This is the real world. This is not Madden.

HAHA

I’m glad its not up to us…Kolb is the guy…he’s better for us…he’s better for the team…and if the coach’s gameplan around his skill set he’ll be a winner

Shocked

I can’t believe that it’s only 52-48 in favor of Kolb as of this post. Garcia hasn’t played in weeks. He doesn’t know the offense completely. He’s never played with this group of WRs and O-linemen. And this is Kolb’s chance to prove what he can do.

Kolb is the starter, hands down. However, if Kolb slips whatsoever… you have Garcia waiting on the sidelines with his helmet in-hand ready to go in.

We need to give Kolb a chance to start. There’s no question who the starter should be (will be).

To be honest, I think Garcia is the better QB, but I don’t have much to go off of with Kolb. I want to see this guy get a week’s worth of prep with the 1’s and see what he can do.

We will be fine (knocking on wood).

Kolb will start… he better start so everyone can get off this “he never got a chance to start”, “he never had a full week of practice with the starters”. Garcia was brought in just incase he gets hurt.. but it doesn’t mean he won’t go in if Kolb is sucking up the place. I see the game splitting by halves with Kolb to start.

Wow. 44 votes for Kolb, 43 for Garcia. You guys are amazing. If (when) Kolb has a decent game, I bet a lot of you who said he sucks are going to be the ones calling for him to replace McNabb the second he has a bad game once he’s back.

if it happens… so be it. I said from the beginning I’ll eat my words if I have to but I can think that I can have my doubts. Plus I voted for Kolb over Garcia so everyone can get there taste and move on. Monday we can discuss who was right or wrong, until then we’ll have to wait and see.

It has to be Kolb

Listen, I’m as down on Kolb as the next person, but the Eagles don’t have a choice. They have to start Kolb this week, and in my opinion, Garcia is just there because the Eagles need a backup quarterback.

The Eagles don’t have anyone else there in case Kolb gets injured, so in my opinion, this move was 100% about having a backup quarterback on the roster. And even when Vick comes back in Week 3, I don’t think the Eagles view him as a viable quarterbacking option, so I’m sure they’ll keep Garcia on staff.

Maybe by Week 5 or 6, should McNabb’s injury persist and Kolb isn’t performing, then Garcia will get a shot. But so long as McNabb is hurt, it’s ride or die with Kolb…as unfortunate as that is.
