Baskett Released
The Philadelphia Eagles have released Hank Baskett in order to make room for Michael Vick to come off the exempt list and begin practicing with the team. Everyone say goodbye to Kendra. This is per Adam Schefter's Twitter account. Best of luck Hank, to you and whoever you drop passes for in the future. Although you were a good special teamer :/
This ends the speculation that the Eagles were going to trade him, because no one was willing to part with any Slim Jims.

Nope, so much for thinking that the F.O. wouldn't be lowballed...
Teams didn’t offer anything for him.

everyone knew he was going to get cut if he wasnt traded, and i bet there arent 10 teams now jumping at trying to sign him now
just like what happened with AJ Feeley

Well to be fair
they didn’t know WHO was going to be cut. Could’ve been Brown, Baskett or one of our fringe defensive backs or linemen.
Although now that I say that, anyone who knows the Eagles knows they love QBs, OL, DL and CBs, and everything else can be had later

Wow.
I though t they would bluff longer. No one was biting.
This is the right move though, Vick needs to practice bro. If he expects to be ready by week 3.
Also, what do we do once Donovan is better?

Definitely not a QB

No one? Kolb is our backup and Vick is our third QB/trick pony/future trade bait.

I always like hanky panky
i thought he had potential as a redzone threat being our biggest reciever
To me the Eagles are like that girlfriend that pisses u off, then u hate her, but the next morning you wake up and remember that thing u love so much about her

How long do you wait for potential?
I liked Baskett as a blocker on run downs and stuff, but the red zone thing wasn’t really happening.
Wouldn’t mind seeing him back on the Birds at some point if the situation called for it. Unlike, say, Greg Lewis. (no sanks)
