trent cole used in new formation?????????

ever since trent cole got that sack on jake i been looking at it over and over. i noticed that he isnt even on the defensive line. it seems like he is lined up at the mlb or is he simlpy not lined up on the d line and just backed up. what ever it was i liked it. but seeing that there were 3 line man on so he could of lined up off of it. or is it a nickle. im so confused some 1 help me

McD was shaking up the D all day

used Cole at different positions on the line and as a LB to throw off the offense

i think it was a genius move and cant wait to see what else he has up his sleeve

I'm pretty sure that was JJ's old Okie Formation

It’s a 3-3-5 nickel look where the middle linebacker position is a DE called the Joker.
Last year Juqua and Chris Clemmons were lining up in the role of joker, it’s cool to see Trent back there – I bet it’s a fun position.

Actually upon reading that article, he did seem to add a tweek.
I have to go back an look at the play again, but while the personnel are the same, they line up a bit differently.
According to the article, Darren Howard and Victor Abiamiri lined up at the tackle position with their hands in the dirt.
2 Backers lined up outside standing up – I think the article said it was Gaither and Jordan – and Trent Cole and Juqua Parker both lined up as Jokers.

I’ve got the DirectTV short cut saved so I’ll watch that play in slow mo’ – but that is most decidedly a wrinkle on the old Okie, a 2-4 version. Pretty cool…

It just looked like he lined up TCole as a linebacker

and allowed him to find himself and hole.

To me the Eagles are like that girlfriend that pisses u off, then u hate her, but the next morning you wake up and remember that thing u love so much about her
