Sal Pal is a schmuck. Not that that has anything to do with the validity of this rumor, but I just needed to say it. I also hope they would keep Baskett over Brown.

I want baskett too
but I guess he has better trade value with his ability to play special teams and lower salary

Agreed
Who gives a crap about a late draft pick for Hank. He’s a legitimate weapon in the red zone. Brown isn’t and doesn’t have any red zone skills close to Hank. Also why not move the last man on the roster instead of someone who actually can make plays in the NFL.

red zone skills?
The dude has 6 TDs in in his career. That hardly screams red zone threat. Also, he has a catch for 89 and 90 yards, presumably TDs. That means he has at most 4 red zone Tds in three full seasons. Definitely not a red zone threat

Agreed
He easily has twice as many drops in the endzone as he has touchdowns.

How are they gonna get rid of a guy who was activated last sunday (Baskett) over a guy who wasnt (Brown).

I’d rather they trade Brown, not a special teams contributor. I bet the Eagles could get a bucket of Gatorade in exchange for Brown. That is, if any team is dumb enough to make that trade=)

Brown vs. Baskett
Don’t you guys think it would be better for the team talent and contribution wise to just simply cut Reggie if hes gonna be inactive or an continue to be an absolute non-factor and keep Hank, who may not contribute heavily, but does contribute on special teams and may catch a couple balls each week.
Yeah , we can probably get a late rounder for Hank, but does that make us better now, No. If we keep him and he has moderate contributions to the team it still makes us more ready and talented to win NOW which should be the plan since McNabb and Reid’s window for success is as wide open as it’s ever been. The only argument for keeping Reggie and trading Hank is that Hank is worth more (if it’s not a player who can contribute now, who cares) is the whole Contract situation. So what if we eat 5 mil or whatever cap hit for cutting Reggie…He’s doing absolutely NOTHING for the team right now except taking up space and not doing anything to help us win NOW. No one wants to trade for him so show his ass the door.
