Shefter reports via twitter that the Birds offered a 3rd and a player. I wonder who the player was?

Damn...
Probably Reggie or Hank… would’ve been nice if we got that deal done.

It’d be nice if we could turn our depth at WR into depth/strength at DL…

But depth plus a 3rd rounder for a soon to be 31 year old injury prone lineman with only two good NFL seasons?.

Well I’m assuming the player that they offered is most likely a player they figure they will have to cut… so really the player is nothing. If that’s not the case then I might feel differently.
But anyways, so a 3rd rounder in next years draft for a good DE… I think it’s fair. 31 is on the downside of a players career, but he could have a good 2 or 3 years left… which might be all we need.

In order, the most likely candidates...
1) Reggie Brown
2) Juqua Parker
3) Winston Justice
4) Max Jean-Gilles

I am not sure if any of those players have the speed Al Davis can feel.
