Is there anyway to work a trade still at this point to bring him home?! Sighhhhh....

Yeah…ugh, I wasn’t expecting him to play because of his broken wrist, or whatever..
He’s playing..and I stopped watching. It hurts too much.
I was gonna post something on the Former Eagles thread. I just realized how much Im gonna miss him flying around making those tackles. I would’ve been so better off if he’d had retired than put another Jersey on.
I agree with that ...
… but from the Dept. of We’ve Moved On, I don’t know how we would incorporate him back into the fold anyway. Do you think he has the deep cover speed? Would we just make him the SS and let Mikell be the FS?
Would love to have him in the huddle and locker room still, without a doubt. He’ll definitely be back with the organization in some capacity before it’s all over.

We could always just convert him to an MLB and plug that gap lol. Wouldn’t take much “converting” anyway…

dawkins just laid out a wr and forced a dropped pass… then, chris collinsworth was like: “how many times have we seen brian dawkins do that in philadelphia?” i died a little inside.

I know as soon as i saw that i figured i would see if anyone made any posts about dawk. This sucks so much wathin dawk in another uniform. also Buck just had a nice 21 yd run. Two of my fav eagles of all time gone. DAMN THE FRONT OFFICE!!!!!!!!!

The Dawk era is over....get over it.
I’ve been a big fan of Brian Dawkins since he came into the league. There are only 2 safties in my book who should go down as all time greats….Brian Dawkins and Ronnie Lott. Both were fierce hitters and intense players and left pieces of ther bodies on the field. I’m watching the Denver game now and yelled every time Dawk was in on a tackle. I yelled every time Buck made a good run. I’m happy for both players. They are representing the Eagles well, even though they may be wearing different colors.
We have a young team now. A great team….who will do well. Dawk is not longer here….and he’s not coming back as a player…….BUT…..he will be back. Andy hinted at it….Lurie hinted at it…..and Dawk himself hinted at it. The business side of football is never pretty. Fans will be unhappy and players will be unhappy. Dawk and Buck will always be Eagles. I’m looking forward to giving the new young players a chance. Dawk and Buck were new young players at one time also. The spirit of Dawk is still in the lockerroom. In my opinion we now have a defensive backfield that can become the best in the league. I’m enjoying this Denver game…watching Buck and Dawk doing their thing. I’m happy for Buck becuase he’s a starter now and looking good. So……get over it. Dawk is gone, he doing good. Wish him well………..

did dawk look smaller to anyone else?
it looked like he lost weight…maybe its just he looks better in an Eagles uniform but to me he looked skinny
Yes
I read somewhere earlier in the preseason that Dawk did less upper body lifting and lost some weight overall to try to increase his speed. I think he did it because Denver was going to be asking him to do more covering than he did with us.

I was watching him play with my fiancee, and she asked me what was on his hand (the cast). I told her that Dawkins had to wear that as a penalty for grabbing a guy’s facemask the previous game. Sadly, she replied “Oh,” and then went back to reading US Magazine.

Hungover....
and really almost threw up this morning when I seen Dawk in orange on the 4 letter network. Sick…but unfortunately they gave him money that we weren’t gonna give him. At the bar my roommate works at I’ve been trying to be stealthy and steal a small fathead of him in Eagles gear for a couple weeks now but it’s pretty much out in the open and I have not yet succeeded. But make no mistake, I will prevail
