Guaranteed spots.

I know we talk alot about whose going to earn their spot but what about the guarantees? There are definitely players because value, money, and most importantly, ability that we know will make the team. So tell me if I'm wrong but I believe these guys are guaranteed to make the roster:

Mike Vick

Lesean McCoy

Desean Jackson

Todd Herramens

Max Jean-Giles

Bernard Bunkley

Chris Cleamons

Victor Abiramiri

Jason Babin (at this point its safe to say he's a lock)

So thats 38 players, who are the other 11 or 12? The reason why I don't say 15 is there is a very large chance we will pick up 2-3 guys after cuts happen. Theres always 7-8 players that are very good that don't make their sqaud because of youth, future contract money, new management, etc. so we could get a jem.

You can't consider Babin a lock.

I do think there’s a good chance he makes the team, but I don’t think you can consider him a lock. He was brought in from the streets a week into camp, he’s only had a couple good preseason games in which the majority were against backups, and he’s played for multiple teams in his short NFL career. That’s never a good sign.

Having said that, I hope he does end up making the team. He has showed a lot push and speed at DE this preseason and he could be a great player to put in our DLrotation. I prefer him over Bryan Smith, fo’ sho’.

HES A LOCK

Trust me Babin IS A LOCK, we all know Andy loves lineman and Andy loves Babin. I guarantee Jason will make the team and he will have a significant role with this team. I know its only been a couple preseason games but this guy has actually made a push to be a starter.Lets not forget he was a 1st round pick with high hopes coming out of college and now he knows that this may be his last chance to have a productive career, thats why he is playing his heart out. I honestly see Jason having a great year for us and probably in the range of about between 6-8 sacks.

Despite "Bernard"

Looks like you have the roster locks pretty well nailed.

I could see Kevin Curtis getting traded and therefore not being on the final roster (although I think the Eagles like him more than what he would command via trade), and I could see Kolb being a “lock” but not being on the roster for the same reason.

I don’t know that Joe Mays is a stone-cold lock, but he’s gonna be on the roster, so I won’t argue with you.
