O-Line
My personal observations and thoughts.
Regardless of what the players say, lack of health and for lack of a better term"gelling" time has hurt thier performance.
A couple things I saw.
1. Peters is a monster. He is not fully in game shape yet. I did however see him drive the DE on his side into the dirt numerous times like a little kid getting a piledriver by his older brother. He needs these next 2 weeks but I feel is improving week to week.
2. Stacey Andrews is worth the money. He wasn't in very long but he can pull the whole goddamn line with him.
3. Winston Justice struggled a little. He is far better than I thought he would be and still getting better. I do not want him starting for our team, I do however believe he may be better than a lot of NFL back-ups. Which makes him valuable.
4. Nick Cole..... Ummm.
5. Herremans is out for a couple more weeks. I think maybe 6-8 even though they said 2-4. The feet account for one quarter of all the human body’s bones. You may not give your feet much thought but they are home to more bones than any other part of your body. How many? Of the two hundred or so bones in the body, the feet contain a whopping 52 of them. Supporting the weight of a massive man is alot to ask, 2-4 weeks after surgery.
Shawn Andrews. I know as much as the next guy. (WTFK)? whothefuckknows?
All in all I feel that in the next couple weeks with our line getting healthier and when we get Herremans back we will have a very, very good line down the stretch. With our first couple games of the season being easier on us Defensively (Excluding Peppers) I believe it will give us time to articulate a personality on the Line and become battle ready for the mid to late season run.
Go Eagles

Todd Herreman's Feet
There’s an old expression about the feet I’m fond of repeating (Michael Vick take heed):
Take care of your dawgs, your dawgs will take care of you.
I always buy the best shoes or sandals, and go barefoot when I can for what it’s worth.
Now we just need to get Shawn Andrews to a shiatsu massage therapist and we’ll be peachy.
the vick dog jokes are getting old

Not last night, missed screen blocks and didn’t stick his zone a couple of times, gets no push in the run game….

I am kinda impressed by Justice.
He’s OK for a short term fix while Andrews is out. I didn’t even expect him to make the team.
Bleed green, or don't bleed at all!
Peters...
A few people on the message board were killing Peters last night, but I think I saw exactly what you saw… And I don’t remember seeing him get beat at all.
I do know the Jags had no sacks.
Bye, Big Stew and JJ :(
With McNabb, BW, and our receivers...
the OL is the key to the whole offense. They looked good enough last night against what last year was a pretty good D. No sacks! Plenty of throwing time. McNabb will pick teams apart if he has time like that all year.

Do you know the status on Max...
I think he’s better than Cole. He’s basically Shawn Andrews “Lite” (without the enigmaticism, if that’s even a word).

I don't understand how...
you think Peters is improving I see the opposite, but we still have a little time but not much.
Who starts at LG now that Herremans is how for a couple games? Personally I like Max Jean Gilles but thats just me.
You must not know what to look for then…

Peters did not get beat one on one last night and he pummeled a couple ends to the grounds. I would consider that “improving” dont you think?
Felix is better than Brian. You can call me FIBTB.
I honestly think that MJG is better than Todd (BTW, Todd is not a football players name). MJG was a beast filling in for Andrews last year before he got hurt. I would love to see the same thing this year, except, ya know, minus the season ending injury.

I thought Peters looked good.
He did look winded the whole time too. That is pretty good, you don’t give up any sacks and can’t breath.
bs
breathing is over-rated…..you’ll see….peters is a stud…big, fast…a wall…he will make the probowl and not because i am biased…

O-Line will be fine
I would rather the o-line have their issues and injuries now than during the regular season. This o-line will dominate particularly the business end of the season. These guys are professionals and they will come good. Of course some have chips on their shoulders now that some people are bagging them and have points to prove.
Why I love Eagles fans, reason No. 314 ...
… we talk O-Line.
Shawn Andrews practiced today …
And if Justice, MJG and Nick Cole are the “backups” that make the roster out of camp, a) that’s pretty decent depth, and b) who’s the 9th/10th OL who survives cuts?
Are McGlynn, Dunlap, Gibson, Fupou and Fanaika the main candidates?
Still waiting for the Eagles to Bring It Home For Jerome
