Todd Herremans to have surgery

In his post game press conference Andy Reid announced that LG Todd Herremans has a stress fracture in his left foot and will undergo surgery to fix it.

Starting left guard Todd Herremans will have surgery on his left foot on Friday and is likely to miss the regular season opener in Carolina.

Herremans has been sidelined with a stress reaction in his left foot. According to head coach Andy Reid, once the swelling went down an MRI revealed a fracture. Nick Cole has worked in place of Herremans and will likely get the starting nod against the Panthers.

Reid said that Herremans would miss "a couple of games." The early word is that he could miss the first 2-4 weeks.

On a more positive note, Reid also said that Shawn Andrews would be returning to practice in a limited role tomorrow.

that's not too bad

losing a pro bowl calibur left guard. we’ll live I guess. hey its not like our already shaky o-line is rattled with injuries.

RIP Jim Johnson. You will truly be missed.

He’s too busy getting his Michael Phelps on

About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.

Seriously.

Not to act all holier than thou, but when this same thing happens to the Redskins, they’ll tank.

Their starters match up with most teams’ starters, but the fact that they fail to draft young talent seems to sink them.

I only wish I could pick on the Giants the same way. Not so much though.

Still waiting for the Eagles to Bring It Home For Jerome

what?

probowl? when did todd ever make the probowl .. and max should be starting .. i think he will at the other guard position anyways .. but still .. this is not that big a loss .. heremans and cole are equal .. i would actually prefer cole or max over him

This is just one more reason

why we will start slow but are (hopefully) built to finish.
