Kind of a flukey play to end that drive… but you gotta grab any ball you see on the ground, whether you think it’s an incomplete pass or not.

MOTHER FUCKING BAG OF COCKS!!!

I for some reason thought the game was at 8, so I set a reminder for fox Philly, as it listed “Preseason NFL Football” at 8pm. If I had only info’d it, I would have realized the error of my ways. At least I got to see that Asante pick.

by Serk on Aug 27, 2009 8:14 PM EDT reply actions

McNabb threw the ball backwards, so its considered a lateral and a live ball

by FredEx on Aug 27, 2009 8:14 PM EDT up reply actions

it went backward so it is a lateral and therefore a fumble

Shit. I just want 1good, consistent scoring drive with McNabb.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

can someone tell me what the fuck just happened

all i see on gamecast is that we fumbled and it was ran back 90 yards for a a TD, but I am trying to disbelieve that it happened

by ARES2029 on Aug 27, 2009 8:16 PM EDT reply actions

McNabb threw a forward pass to Mccoy, but both were behind teh line of scrimmage, so it’s a fumble.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

by BrianS on Aug 27, 2009 8:17 PM EDT up reply actions

Appeared that all of the Eagles and most of the Jags didn’t realize it was a live ball. They bascially all stood around while one guy ran it in.

by JasonB on Aug 27, 2009 8:23 PM EDT up reply actions

Regardless, very nice play Asante.

by captain nodar on Aug 27, 2009 8:24 PM EDT reply actions

I know the results of the game don’t mean anything, but i’d just feel a lot better going into the season if the offense didn’t look like crap.

Instead of the whole shuffling Vick in and out thing, I’d rather have just let McNabb in to see if he could get into a rhythm earlier.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

by BrianS on Aug 27, 2009 8:24 PM EDT reply actions

I wondered that myself. McNabb looked his best on that drive where Vick didn’t play.

by JasonB on Aug 27, 2009 8:25 PM EDT up reply actions

They had a pretty good rhythm. Moved the ball down the field. Just didn’t end well.

by FredEx on Aug 27, 2009 8:25 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s not inspiring, but I’m trying not to numbed into disappointment either.

by JasonB on Aug 27, 2009 8:27 PM EDT up reply actions

I thought that was inconclusive at best. Ballsucking refs.

by captain nodar on Aug 27, 2009 8:27 PM EDT reply actions

by immynimmy on Aug 27, 2009 8:41 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah, they were fluky plays. I’m not too worried about them.

Although the first one came on the one yard line… so the Jags were likely to get points there anyway. We can’t write that one off totally.

I dont know why we keep so much dead weight on the team, Schobell, Brown, Baskett, Booker year after year

by ARES2029 on Aug 27, 2009 8:41 PM EDT reply actions

money says half of these guys are on the roster to start the season though

by bula412 on Aug 27, 2009 8:43 PM EDT up reply actions

yes

schobell will probably make it, but who else are we going to get at TE when our backup to get rid of the “dead weight” tears his acl.

baskett is good at special teams, but probably won’t make the team anyways
booker probably won’t make the team ( he made it once…not year after year)

brown has a shitty contract

by eagleyosh on Aug 27, 2009 8:45 PM EDT up reply actions

as for TE you keep Celek, Myers, and Curtis (who fills the gap for a really good blocking TE)
we dont need baskett for ST if we sucks as a reciever,
Brown is the only one I would consider keeping if he gets his act together but would rather have Brandon Gibson

by ARES2029 on Aug 27, 2009 8:49 PM EDT up reply actions

point was somehow they keep making the final roster, and I really hope that none of them do this year, there is hungry fresh meat that would love a shot, and we should give it to them, its not like any of those guys are starters anyway, so why not try something new with your backups

by ARES2029 on Aug 27, 2009 8:44 PM EDT up reply actions

Name any team in the NFL, and I’ll show you at least 5 scrubs that make the final roster.
