The Seahawks have just released Falcon's former 1st round pick TJ Duckett in order to make room for RB Edgerrin James. Duckett is a short yardage phenom, who has played with newly acquired QB Mike Vick in the West Coast Option system in Atlanta, and makes perfect sense as a 3rd RB for our team. Now, I love Eldra as much as all of you guys, but Duckett is insurance to Leonard Weaver as well, as he has played some snaps as a RB/FB hybrid, and is a special teams guy. Duckett has the ability to run, block, and catch, and his ability to reach the endzone is amazing (scoring 31 TDs in his 4 years in Atlanta.) Duckett had struggled with injuries the past couple years, but last year returned to his "old" self, posting 172 yards for 8 TDs. He brings a lot of good things to the table, and I think it would be foolish not to give him a 2 week tryout.
Why not?
