Soft O - Line
This Eagles team has to have one of the softest offensive lines in the league and possibly the most overrated. The Andrews' brothers and Jason Peters are too soft. Shawn Andrews is one comment or game from flying over the coo coos nest. He's never healthy (allegedly) or just is to lazy to practice. Jason Peters cried his way out of Buffalo because of his contract situation so the Eagles stepped up and he paid them back by having no worth ethic and not even being on the field. We got rid to two tackles who played hurt constantly and were the bookends of a great line for many years. The comparison is night and day.

hmmmm
while i agree based on first appearences, lets not be to quick to judge. Until we actually see these boyz on the field and acertain what theyre REALLY capable of im say we plead the 5th. Cuz while i agree they ARE acting like TOTAL prima donnas, the best stars usually do.
DMAC ...now THATS my quarterback man!!!
You say Oline
and then talk of our tackles, our interior line is in no way soft.
I also beleive we have to wait until we have an actual game to judge anything about jason peters, and to start throwing andrews under the bus.
Why would they play hurt in a preseason game, if they start ducking out of regular season games with questionable injuries then the finger pointing can start
Burns...
Its preseason. Jason even said if that game against the Colts was a regular season game, he would have played. As far as Stacy…I don’t remember Runyan or Thomas ever tearing their ACL so stay off that. Why don’t you go tear your ACL, fix it up, and run a marathon right after the surgery then you can call someone with an ACL tear soft. We expected Stacy to be out for some time so you might as well not talk about that. Matter a fact, he’s back pretty early for an ACL tear (he tore if in December). Now Shawn, I can understand. I strained my iliocostalis and had to sit our a year and a half. Funny how everyone is quick to judge someone’s toughness from the sidelines, yet if anyone of them were to come back to early and their injury would become far more severe people would be like “What a shame.” “Man, we’re unlucky.” And other BS like that. I mean if you really think that the Andrews bros and Peters should go ahead and play full out in the preseason and they get hurt go ahead and think that. But if they were to further damage their injuries, you shut your mouth and not talk.
Stacy Andrews...
OK, so at least you gave reasons for Shawn Andrews and Peters, but why exactly is Stacy Andrews soft? Wanna help me out there?
Bye, Big Stew and JJ :(
I think Burns is just anxious
3 guys on the line havent prooved themseleves yet- from that prospective I agree
Stacy and Peters arent soft- just not prooven
Shawn needs to have a lights out year in my oppinion
RIP JJ
well shawn is just a wack job
hes the Terrell Owens of linemen, However i REALLY believe Stacy And J.P. will be beyond just fine come regular season , I think they’ll be dowright monsters. However i still say we should bring back Runyan for insurance.

How is Shawn a wack job?
How is he anything like TO? He cant be a wack job and TO because (though I hate him) TO aint a wack job, he’s just selfish. I don’t understand how those two are anything like but I guess because you’re fan your perception is perfect right? You must have a master’s degree in psychology to be able to describe Shawn as a wack job without even talking to him. Bro, you either better justify what you mean or just keep quiet all together.
wack job
Shawn andrews is a DIAGNOSED manic-depressive…for those of you WITHOUT backgrounds in psychology this means his mood swings worse than my wife during P.M.S.. Hes also blatanly (even if NOT diagnosed) Narcissistic personality disordered based on many observations of his VERY flamboyant behavior. And while I might not personally have a background in psych , My mother ( PhD.) however does, and well you tend to learn stuff from your parents.
Lastly MACJACK ive been a member of this blog for a decent amount of time, And while I dont expect all the newcomers to be football or psych genius’s , I do think they should show a LIL more respect to the “vets” …to clarify , your last line about staying quiet alltogether kinda bothered me , but we all are allowed to express our thoughts ….this means BOTH of us

There has been alot of that lately
Cant we all just get along and respect others opinions BGNr’s…
RIP JJ
Pimpin, quite frankly I don’t a F if you’ve been on here 5 years or 5 days because that don’t mean s**t to me. Being a vet or a newcomer is pretty much all the same to me because my words would be the same. My reason for questioning your logic lies with the fact that my brother is also Manic-Depressive and he doesn’t have worse mood swings then my girlfriend on her time of the month. He has meds just like Shawn. I am not ready to say he has Narcissistic Personality Disordered since he has not been officially diagnosed with that. He’s been more like it lately because the “writers” and “experts” keep questioning where his heart is and trying to get him to say he doesn’t care. If they we’re to go after Dawkins the same way, I’m not for sure Dawkins would know exactly what to say to get off him (not a shot at Dawkins, he’s my favorite player of all time, just using an example). As I’ve been saying, a back injury is a back injury as far as I’m concerned take your time because he were to further injure it, it could effect his everyday life not his football career. Depression doesn’t make you a wack job. Charles Manson is a wack job, Michael Devlin was a wack job, Aileen Wuornos was a wack job. Shawn is not.
(My bad if the statement hurt, I just don’t get calling someone with depression a wack job. That ain’t right.)
Can I get a count of how many people read this and then clicked on his profile to see if he was a Cowboys fan?
I thought to myself, oh boy he is gonna get killed why do so many Cowboys fans have to talk shit all the time? What a relief…
not a cowboys fan
just frustrated with the o line or lack there of
the only thing softer than this offense line
is the remaining cartilage in tra thomas and jon runyan’s knees. you people are fucking retarded for constantly begging for us to re-sign the OL equivalent of 2006 jeremiah trotter.
why can’t you get angry over letting go of someone who is actually still relevant?
We need Big Jon
He’s been a medical wreck for yhears but has still proformed. I have made this argument in multiple posts. No matter how bad his “back hurt” the broken tailbone, swollen knees and stiff spine NEVER benched him. He deserves a shot to see if he can do it another year.
Ruyan is a bad ass, gritty, old school bully who doesnt let his mind or body get in the way- goes out and plays regaurdless, We could use his tenasity back along with his leadership. If not to play then to be a Solid back up or a mentore for a few guys who could really use it.
RIP JJ
Hated Runyan, but mostly because he was a warrior

agree to disagree...
Nobody was tougher or nastier than Runyan, bar none. While I never thought he was a great athlete, dude was a hell of a competitor. I’m going to trust the Eagles here. They know when the clock has expired on a player, and they know how to make a tough decision.
Getting to Andrews, I will say that I’ve suffered from back spasms on and off since I was young. I remember having difficulty just standing up straight some mornings. So to question another man’s toughness with an injury without having an idea of what his body is going through in my opinion isn’t fair. I’m taking the wait and see approach. I’m starting to gain confidence that all five starters will be on the field for Carolina.
I hope so Optimism
but are you always optimistic, I myself am an optimistic person but you hjave to be worried about this Line
RIP JJ
