I'd like to thank Brett Favre for officially putting an end to the Philadelphia-Vick media circus. Pretty much everything that was needed to be said about Vick's signing, was within 48 hours of the event. After that it was a motley tapestry of regurgitated ideas, conspiracy theories from left field, and random relatives dropping in with their two cents (none of which I will link to).

I did find a few amusing and original points of view after the initial incubation period in the holier than thou stance of the NFL community on Vick and that the Cowboys should be mightily upset that the Eagles signed Vick and they didn't.

So for now, all we can do is hope that things keep quiet here on that front. With the exceptions, of course, when Vick:

Plays his first preseason game.

Plays his first season game.

Scores his first touchdown.

Holds his first post-game interview where he unintentionally questions Reid's judgement and challenges McNabb's leadership.

Fights his first pigeon, etc..., etc..., etc...

Hopefull its nothing but positive headlines for VIck from here on out

for any Eagles fan wishing for anything other than positive headlines from Vick, give it some thought. Vick fucking up = bad for the team.

Like it or not, he’s with us, so I guess I’m with him. I won’t be missing the lack of 7 jersey’s at Dick’s or anything, but I’m fine with him being here.

I still reserve the right to make fun of him though. He’s still an asshole, but he’s our asshole now.

We barely got to know him (over the two weeks between when he registered and when he last logged in), but he sure left his mark. His grasp and dexterity with the English language was a thing of utter beauty and brings a tear (and a twitch) to my eye every time I read it. I actually looked forward to reading his posts every morning, and I was saddened when the posts and comments stopped.

If vick was fightin pigeons no one would have given a shit bout the rats w/ wings. They would have thanked him for drowning pigeons.
