Terrell Owens Will Be A Top 3 Wide Receiver This Season

Those of you doing your fantasy drafts right now pay attention, Terrell Owens will be a top 3 wide receiver this year. Guaranteed. I know you're probably thinking I'm bugging because he wasn't a top 3 wide out last year but trust me on this. Take T.O. in the second round and you won't be disappointed. This is more about being one of this man's biggest fans, there's logic and reason behind this statement.

For starters, the Bills are going no huddle this season. Not as a feature, not a little bit, but all the time. This is going to allow Trent Edwards to play against tired defenses more often and will make all of the Bills weapons seem that much better. Buffalo does have a good running game and another excellent receiver on the other side of Owens in Lee Evans. This means less double teams and unlike in Dallas, there's no bff relationship between Edwards and the tight end. The fact that Owens is 6'3" means when they pass in the red zone, Owens is getting the first look. I will be shocked if T.O. has less than 12 TD's this year.

One more thing, Owens is playing for a big contract next year. People forget that this man's livelihood is on the line if he isn't productive in Buffalo. There are always exceptions to the rule and Owens' age will not be the usual determinant of a decline of production. I see Owens much like Jerry Rice, who was able to be a consistent productive performer until he was 40. If that is the case for T.O., that gives him 3 more years and I think he will get a 2-year extension from the Bills when this season ends. So when you lose to the guy that has T.O. in your fantasy league don't say I didn't warn you.

T.O.....one of the best....still.

I have to agree with you. I’ve always been a big fan of T.O. I’m from Philly, but live most of my life in the San Francisco area….so the 459ers have always been my second favorite team, with the Eagles as numero uno. I was in SF during the Jerry Rice and John Taylor days….and even got to watch Tim brown (another great receiver) with the Eagles. In my eyes, Jerry Rice will always be the best, but when T.O came to the 49ers he made an impact quick. When Jerry Rice went to the Raiders T.O. was the number one go to guy and was unbelievable. One on one in full stride, not many DBs and bring him down alone. I’ve seen him stiff arm DBs, run over them and keep on striding into the endzone. His gives his all on the field….but….T.O.‘s ego and mouth gets him in trouble….lol. If he had kept his mouth shut with the Eagles, stopped complaining about Donovan, the Eagles probably would have been back to the Super Bowl again. But he f***** up….lol. Did the same in Dallas and they sent him packing. With all that he still leads all receivers in TD receptions. Buffalo could be his last hurrah…which would be a shame. But I believe he’ll silence a lot of his critics and have a great year. The dude can play. The dude is bad. The dude can be unstoppable……..when he wants to be.

Yes, I’ll draft TO. Then I’ll throw my laptop out the window and set myself on fire.

I wonder if I can bill Jeff Lurie and Peter Angelos for the years of therapy their teams are going to put me through.

My sister has drafted TO the past two years and sat him for the entire season. All the guys in her leagues get so pissed off.

This toe injury could linger and cause him problems the rest of the year.

TO a top 3?

Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, Calvin Johnson, Roddy White, Greg Jennings, Brandon Marshall, Wes Welker, Randy Moss, and Anquan Boldin are arguably better receivers right now than TO.

Top 3? Please…

RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
