but I got a 360 :(. What is every ones opinion about the new madden though I haven’t really played it much yet but to me it is by far the best for this generation of consoles(xbox 360, PS3, Wii).

I have 360

….and I like this one a lot more than the last. That being said the gang tackling is neat, however it leads to alot of broken tackles and big plays from some players that really shouldnt be able to do it. Too many times it is really easy for a RB to run over a CB, even if that RB is Sproles and the CB is Asante

I just got it for 360 yesterday

I love it except for when i was whupping the cowboys and marion barber got gang tackled by 6 of my Eagles, he broke every single tackle and scored a 30 yard td. The same thing happened with Reggie Bush about 1 hour later. Marion Barber…i’ll let that slide but Reggie Bush!!??
Maclin kicks ass in Madden 10. I started my franchise in All-pro difficulty with 5 min quarters, 4 games in, Maclin has 39 catches 700 yards 7 tds.

I have PS3 haven’t scooped the new Madden yet I wasn’t a fan of 09 so I’m skeptical.

So, I've been thinking...

Now that the Eagles have Vick, and since he’ll (apparently) be added in a roster update on the 19th, what do you do with him besides put him in the Wildcat?

Does anybody know where all the Eagles gimmick plays are? Also, I haven’t had a lot of time to sit down with Madden, but can you make your own plays now? Like, a TE screen from Vick to McNabb that turns into a chance to either hurl it deep (a la a flee flicker) or just take off. What about a shotgun toss from McNabb to Vick that gives you a throwing option or a running option?

I really want the option to go nuts, so if anyone knows how to create plays or knows where the gimmick plays are in the playbook, I’d love to know.

Well there is the wildcat. The eagles only have 3 wild cat plays though. 1 of them is desean running off tackle and the other two are passes i believe. Not sure what you mean by gimmick plays. You could put vick in a couple formations though after scrambling a few times and this will throw your opponent off because they wont know if they should run blitz your or drop into coverage. Ill look to see if there are any “gimmick” plays tonight and ill be sure to let you know if i find any.

You remember the play last year when the Ravens lined up Troy Smith at QB and Joe Flacco at TE and he ended up with a crazy 40 yard touchdown? Thats the kind of thing I’m talking about when I think of gimmick plays. Or, how when he was on the Steelers, Randle El would catch a pass in the backfield and then throw it. Same thing with Ladanian Tomlinson. Thats the kind of thing I mean when I say “gimmick.”

I love to get creative with player substitutions and having Vick on my Madden team has some intriguing possibilities.

Do you know how to QB scramble with one of the passing plays in the wildcat. For example in the middle option the snap goes to Desean and its a pass play but he cant scramble. He stays in a passing pose and you have to pass. I held down the right trigger but he wont run. I’m preparing myself for some Mike Vick wildcat action lol. Roster update is tomorrow.
