There has been a lot of controversy over the acquisition of Michael Vick to the Eagles. I know that he hasn't played the game of football in 2 1/2 years. To some people, acquiring Michael Vick is a mistake but to others they think it is a good thing that the Eagles signed him. I am one of those many who think it was a good thing. If Michael Vick practices with the team a little more, I think he'll get used to it and be part of the team as I know he can be.
The one thing that i don't agree with is giving him 1.5 million dollars in a contract for 1 year. I think it is pointless because he hasn't played in 2 1/2 years and he is already getting over 1 million dollars. I think the Eagles should have paid him less for one year then see what happens. But if Michael proves himself and doesn't do anything stupid like Pacman Jones, he'll be a good quarterback once again like he was in Atlanta from 2001-2006.
