Michael Vick's first practice as a Philadelphia Eagle
Click above for a gallery of pics capturing Michael Vick's first day of practice as a Philadelphia Eagle. If this hadn't seemed real yet, if it hadn't sunk in yet...
It just got real. There he is, an Eagle.

Am I the only person that loves Vick’s use of the visor? Shit looks badass, especially on a QB.

Hey Bye, Dawk :(....
Where are you man, I just read the Reid called Michael Vick a “quarterback” and he took snaps at “quarterback” since being in camp. What position is he going to play? Just wondering….
Like I said before I don’t think he is going to be taking any significant game snaps from McNabb and only if they run some form of the wildcat, but you didn’t pick him up to play running back or wide receiver.
Hey I know this post wasn’t directed to me, but I’ll just weigh in since I’m bored lol.
Vick will be listed on the roster as a quarterback, and he will play as a quarterback, but what I think Bye, Dawk meant is that he will not play the QB position in the traditional sense.
My guess is that he will be thrown into games for about 5-10 plays lined up as a QB in the Wildcat formation or some other gadget-type play. I don’t think he will play a single snap as a “traditional” quarterback this entire season, unless something miraculous happens. Technically, he is not even a backup QB – he’s more of a complimentary QB. I’m really excited to see how Reid decides to use him, and I hope he doesn’t over-think it as he does so often. This could be an innovative year in the NFL…

I think I may have said that I expected the Eagles to even list him as a RB on BTB, so I was wrong there – Congrats, sduncan24, you got me on a relatively minor point. But southjersey89’s sentiment is exactly right – My basic point was that he wasn’t signed to be an insurance policy for McNabb, nor is he some sort of replacement for Kolb. They’re going to mix him in to the offense, often times with McNabb remaining on the field. And if there are people that think Vick won’t see the field unless he’s replacing McNabb due to injury, ineffectiveness, etc., you’re sorely mistaken.
Bye, Big Stew and JJ :(
why woul dhe take ANY snaps from mcnabbb
Why do people think that? McNabb is a better QB than vick..so why would they do that?
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
Another idea...
This is his first practice back. He hasn’t played in 2 years. Letting him practice in his old role for a while might help knock the rust off and they can move from there. I personally don’t see how they would keep him as a 4th QB without removing Kolb and Feeley (both who I’d trust more at this point, unless Vick catches up in a hurry).
Just my 2 cents
For the Love of the Game
They could use him on goal line
the D will think run and and they can go a underneath slant or something
R.I.P, Air McNair & JJ
i'm not sure if i've seen anyone mention this if so i apologize
But anyone think there is any chance the Eagles only picked up vick for trade bait? I mean its highly likely that Vick’s stock is only going to rise. If he behave himself over the next year or two, you cant tell me someone wouldnt pay a high price for him
Best Offense in the NFL
i dont think so
i think he is already the number one backup QB in the league in most peoples minds. A few razzle dazzle plays in the wildcat would probably be enough
If you say you are an Eagles fan, and all you do is complain about the franchise, why even bother?
