FOR THE LAST TIME: THE EAGLES DO NOT CONDONE VICK'S PRIOR ACTIONS
The Eagles believe that Vick is sorry for what he did and are trusting him to stay a long his path of retribution, making appearances for the Humane Society, not getting into anymore trouble, & plain & simple just going out every sunday & playing football. That's what he signed him to do and that's what he will do or he'll be gone. Lurie will keep him on a short leash & if he does anything else he's gone. It's a risk the Eagles believe will pay off or they wouldn't have done it. He gives us a multitude of options on offense & will be a nightmare for Defensive Coordinators to deal with.
We all know what Vick has done & no one condones it or feels it can, in any way, be justified. It is terrible, but the truth is Vick has served his time and had a hard dose of the law. But the length of his jail sentence was more due too the fact he lied, a long with a few other things. He eventually admitted to what he has done & is now working to put an end to the barbarian acts that he was once a part of.
Vick Served 23 months - read some other cases about animal cruelty (this one & hit "browse cases" on the left for more) - a lot just get probation (from adopting a pet..for a few years). Vick is doing head & shoulders above what other offenders are doing.. Give him a break & let him play football.
Lurie's press conference - you can not tell me that after this you feel Vick hasn't turned his life around for the better

To be honest...
I think this situation will slowly get better, as long as Vick stays squeaky clean. I think once the season gets going, people’s feelings will settle down to Earth. I completely agree that to hate the Eagles for this is absolutely stupid. They have made it clear that what Vick did was wrong. The man paid for his crime. Let it end there. Vick was brought in to do exactly what every one of us bitches about every offseason, and that is to make the team better. So lets stop with all the silly shit and go out and get our first Super Bowl.

I think the polls are gonna be inaccurate
I think most people that hate this move are out protesting it, and most people that like it are in here talking about it
