Anyone else sick of this
We are less than 24 hours since the announcement that Vick was joining the Eagles. All I have heard (mainly from ESPN who I still believe is ruining sports as we know it with their minions of blowhards but I digress....) again, all I have heard is how.....
McNabb must be worried for his job....(really, if Donovan lobbied to get Vick here doesn't sound worried to me).
Eagles fans are running from the team....(as a fan who isn't particularly excited about the move I'm not burning my jerseys, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, t-shirts, or tickets anytime soon).
As soon as McNabb struggles fans will call for Vick to replace him. (Yeah oh and did they mention that fans booed Santa one game?)
Vick is the quarterback for 2010 when McNabb's contract is up (has anyone even seen the guy play yet? Do we know if he is any good (not that I thought he was ALL THAT before)).
My favorite was the douchebag who was in for Colin on ESPN in the morning who said that anyone who roots for Vick supports what he did (so the other degenerates who work for that network and slober over Kobe Bryant support him raping a woman in Colorado).
I knew no matter who he signed with it'd be overboard but this is ridiculous...wait till he practices this weekend, plays in a few weeks, and gets the first time in a real game. Philly is a circus again....

This isnt an outrageous comment really, but a reporter asked why they got Vick, but let go of Dawkins. It’s two completely different situations, Dawkins had more money offered from the Broncoes, and Vick needed to find a home. So I thought that was dumb,

Again, not a specific comment, but it bothers me how the negative side of any story gets emphasized over the positive.
For example, I’m sure roughly half the fan base is excited and half the fan base is disgusted, yet ESPN has been reporting that “Philly fans are furious”. What about those of us who don’t mind the acquisition? I guess we don’t fit their prototypical Philly fan mold, so they don’t include us. Only the “angry Philly fan” is what they show to the public. Fuck ESPN.
They did the same thing with Mcnabb. Probably less than 25% of Eagles fans want Mcnabb gone, but because they are angry, loud, and obnoxious they speak for all of us.

Not another post about Vick
Fans that hate, then love, then hate Mcnabb = Vick haters = uniformed fairweather frontrunners
true fans = know mcnabbs a top qb in the league = know vicks a top player in the nfl is he’s in shape
it’s that simple.. this is football.. if u want to talk emotional problems go somewhere else.. as a football move its a good move, even if he has a rough past, the FO truly believes he has changed, just watch the Lurie press conference.
You're Right about Lurie's Press Conference
I was impressed with what Lurie had to say. It seems like he shared the same concerns as many. Same for Banner’s comments today. People can say what they will about Lurie and Banner, but I am (and always have been) impressed with their character and leadership. My initial reaction to the Vick news was that, while not against it, I didn’t feel good about it. After hearing Lurie’s comments I feel more confident in the decision and can see that their is a possibility not only to turn a man’s life around, but to also affect some change towards diminishing animal cruelty, while at the same time aiding in the Eagles chances of getting to the promised land. I for one wish him luck and wouldn’t it be nice if something good could come from all of this, especially right here in Philly. Cutting the man down does no one any good, supporting him in his efforts to speak out against his previous actions can only be a positive thing. Come on Philly let’s do the right thing, let’s wait to pass judgement and see if the guy does what he says. If he doesn’t then I’ll be the first to condemn him, until then I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

ESPN
ESPN is no dofferent then CNN, Fox or any other news outlet. They pick a side and run with it for ratings. All the while making it as dramatic as possible. You have to remember no matter what the subject… Sports, politics or anything else most people can’t think for themselves let alone find a middle ground. We all have our opinions… Most of which are probably wrong…
