Superbowl............

A company that my friend works for has a big SuperBowl raffle every year.    In the early parts of the season,  they all get together and put up $100 bucks each.  My  friend works at a pretty big company, so usually get about 75 people to participate.  Thats $7500 bucks collected!!!   Its so early, so obviously, no one has any idea who's going to be in it or not.  But they take the $7500 and buy tickets to the game, airfare and a hotel stay for 2.  It works well for them because they have fans of so many teams, so it creates a lot of rivalry in the office!

I wouldnt expect to have 75 people from here at BGN, but maybe we could open it up to a couple of local rival teams and see how that goes.

They usually pull the names during Championship Week....

It could be 2 ways.   Two individuals win and go...or 1 person wins an "expense paid" trip for 2.

We could all get together to do a drawing at a bar somewhere around Philly.....

Just a thought....something different.

I figure that i would throw it out and there and see if anyone would be interested in something this....

love the idea

although i don’t think most people would be comfortable with someone they dont know holding the money unless some sort of credible website handles this sort of thing or we have some sort of BGN paypal account that maybe jasonb would volunteer to monitor … this could come in use as well if we were to have meets ups and tailgates and people wanted to donate for food and things of that nature etc …you’ll probably have lots of interested people but wont commit when its all said a done … it was hard enough to get a bgn game meet up organized and that ended up flopping face down

i might think about doing it if its planned out right keep us updated

i didnt mean to volunteer you jason

as far as monitoring the account as a push off … just that people would probably feel safer if somebody like you with a more credible name was monitoring the account unlike me whom everyone might not know or trust … i would gladly set this up and monitor if it comes down to it …

If the Eagles go to the Superbowl ...

I’m going period, not leaving it up to my name coming out of a hat.

I’ll add having an all expenses paid trip is intriguing.

Just have Lorenzo Booker hold the money, he’s too slow to run away with it.
