Taking Stock of Training Camp: Day 6
The Eagles' faithful were treated to a great deal of quality football at Lehigh for both the morning and afternoon practices as the sixth day of training camp got underway. Here is a brief rundown of who's stock is on the rise and who's stock is falling:
Stock on the Rise:
Jervonte Jackson- With only four defensive tackles at practice, Jackson has greatly benefited from the increased workload, running alongside Dan Klecko with both the second and third team defenses. He has made several key tackles, using his size and power to stay in every play.
Cornelius Ingram- Ingram has been cracking the first-team offense lately, impressing the coaches with his developing blocking skills and catching on screen plays. On one play that surely impressed the coaches, Ingram made a difficult catch, then proceeded to drag two defenders with him down the field until a third man came to bring him down. Simply astonishing power.
Leonard Weaver- Weaver has shown that he is everything Philly fans crave in a fullback with his complete set of skills. During reps with the first team offense, Weaver was able to open up several holes for LeSean McCoy and wowed the fans with a huge gain up the middle after a handoff from Donovan McNabb.
Brent Celek- Celek has had a phenomenal camp thus far. He has come a long way with his blocking skills under the tutelage of Juan Castillo and Matt Schobel, and continues to impress with his knack for getting extra yards after each catch.
DeSean Jackson- Jackson has been impressing with his phenomenal speed, allowing him to make an amazing 70-yard touchdown catch over Joselio Hanson. The young receiver has also been getting more looks under center in the wildcat formation, with McNabb split out wide.
Trae Williams- With Ellis Hobbs taking a knee for the afternoon, Williams was able to get more reps with the third team defense as Dimitri Patterson moved up to the first team. Williams has an incredible afternoon, showing his finesse and awareness by racking up two interceptions.
Stock Falling:
Eugene Bright- Tempers flared this afternoon as Bright and safety Reshard Langford got into a shoving match, dragging Chris Patrick and Tracy White into the fray as well. Bright will need to work on building better relationships with his teammates if he expects to have a hope of cracking the final roster.
Lorenzo Booker- With Eldra Buckley continuing to impress, Booker is losing more and more of his appeal to the coaching staff. The featherweight back performed poorly in pass protection skills today with the second-team offense. If Booker doesn't shape up soon, he could easily lose his spot on the roster to Buckley.
Jeremy Maclin- Still no sign of our first-round draft pick, and now Hakeem Nicks and Brandon Pettigrew have been signed as well. What's Maclin's excuse?

aint it ironic
That everyone was worried about Ingram and McCoy picking rosenhaus as their agent. But both of them are I practice and our humble first rounder isn’t.

Not his fault…business side of the game. If we were in his shoes we would do the same thing

i never said it was
I was just sayin is Jim the nex agent the eagles fans hate now? I mean there we headlines all over this board about shady and ci havin Rosey as there agent.
Im not mad at maclin. But in my opinion he does need to get in his agents ass about this. Remember the agent works for him not the other way around.

I love taking things out of context
About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.

Im guessing your a cowboys fan lol
but yeah I never thought he was that good. I havent seen him do anything special, at least when us eagle fans talked about Celek while he was backing up LJ he actually was good lol..
by far best TE duo is Celek, Ingram.. If ingram contributes early

Ingram
I’m loving what I’m hearing about him. Seems to be nothing but good things. I’m happy that both TE’s blocking has been impressive so far.
