Quentin Demps unaccounted for too

I dont think Demps is backing up this year

you havent heard much about Jones but you hear alot about demps… I hope its a tight battle.

by wild_eagle on Aug 2, 2009 9:53 AM EDT up reply actions

I guess

Joselio Hanson is getting paid big money to still be ignored.

RIP Jim Johnson. You will truly be missed.

Was this seriously posted without Laws, Demps and Hanson? That’s unacceptable.

by FredEx on Aug 1, 2009 3:19 AM EDT reply actions

think he meant demps backing up at FS, he’s got laws backing up at DT and hanson of course… man, we are freakin stacked with depth… everywhere except maybe QB – RB (but we could include weaver there) and LB (but JJs scheme will overshadow any lack on defense)- really excited about this team now!

5 RBs/FBs

I heard the Andy Reid interview by Howard Eskin on WIP yesterday and I believe he said they will typically keep 5 RBs/FBs. I wouldn’t be suprised or disappointed if they keep Kyle Eckel. He mentioned though that the backs at the bottom of the depth chart must be able to contribute on Special Teams so it is contingent on whether or not Eckel can play STs.

Having said that don’t ask me what player would be cut in place of Eckel. Maybe Booker? Maybe Baskett or Brown? Tough call. I personally could see keeping Eckel over Booker if Booker doesn’t impress during the preseason. If we do that then if Westbrook and McCoy both end up missing a game then you can put Weaver at RB in a pinch and throw Eckel in at FB (or vice versa).

eckel

he’ll be on the practice squad at least, ready to come up if needed

Wasn't Bryan Smith a 3rd round pick?

He won’t last on the practice squad.

And I thought Harris was going to be a safety. You could slot him at SS and bring Smith aboard.

you can’t have 12 starting offensive players.

its ok, has its flaws…

by wild_eagle on Aug 1, 2009 1:27 PM EDT reply actions

no it doesnt

your roster does .. this roster was actualy perfect .. altho brown plays more than avant

by jack is better than asante on Aug 2, 2009 12:05 AM EDT up reply actions

You agreed with my roster on the other 53 man

roster post only you only change was Having justice instead of dunlap… NO need to start arguements now..

by wild_eagle on Aug 2, 2009 12:36 AM EDT up reply actions

avant is tougher than brown.

every one knows this. avant has grit……..true grit.

by snowhill82 on Aug 2, 2009 5:19 AM EDT up reply actions

oh hell yeah

Avant is just a stud in his own way.

by wild_eagle on Aug 2, 2009 9:53 AM EDT up reply actions

Not as a wide receiver

But he is a good slot receiver. Not fast, but have really good route running, tough enough to go over the middle almost every play. And most of his catches are on third down conversions. His niche is being the slot receiver and he does a good job as that.

RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.

by Imp on Aug 2, 2009 1:59 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, he is

a 3rd down wonder… He is a pretty good slot guy.

buckley will beat out booker.

Shaheer McBride

I thought this kid would make the team last year. I would rather see him than Reggie Brown make the team this year.

by Ralph S on Aug 2, 2009 3:39 AM EDT reply actions

Why?

I would rather have brown than some nobody.
