I think this is something that should be put on the Linc for at least this season. I think JJ really meant that much to the organization. I guarantee they will definitely have the patch, similar to the phillies that have the HK patch.

I hope this doesn't sound tacky or tasteless

But I would really like to see the Eagles sell a cap with the Jim Johnson memorial patch or sticker they will be wearing on their uniforms and donate the money to a cancer charity. Nice way to allow the fans to pay tribute as well.

Sometimes it's just fun to take the family for a spin around the lake in the old boat. Even if it's not your family or your boat, and they're screaming for you to stop.

This would be nice. However, since any garments the Eagles sell fall under the category of NFL licensed apparel, I doubt it would ever happen. The NFL are notoriously greedy bastards.

I’d buy a JJ hat or shirt for the reasons you listed. Tacky or not, if it goes to a good cause while remembering someone worth remembering, I’m all in.

I've been think that too

but to be honest, you just never hear anything about Jim Johnson…ever.

I think that is the way he wants it so its probably fitting that the keep it bottom page news..even if its probably as big as news as a coach like Bill Parcels or Marv Levy passing away.

Condolences to you all and to the Johnson family from a Bronco fan

Jim was a hell of a coach and will be missed by many of us everywhere. Every team out there knew when they went up against a Johnson coached defense they were going to get pressed for 4 quarters by a top-notch defense.
