Which divison has the best? Part 1: NFC East
Ok, I will be making a all star team form each division. Starters and Backups. Based on comments I might tweak the teams a little. After the teams are finished we will vote the best through the worst. Each week we vote which all star team gets booted when they get booted. The team with the most votes each week played the team with the least. Then the second most vs the second least and etc. Then we vote off who would has the least chance. Today will be our division
Edited! Again

Hedgecock over Weaver
Thats my only gripe, and its a small one at that.
About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.

one can catch and run
the other is a much better blocker IMO
With the Portis/ Westbrook tandem on this team, I’d go for the pure blocker over the hybrid blocker/receiving threat.

I hate this..
I think it lost all credibility (at least in my book) after Hall made it…

Ever since
A rookie burned him on MNF. He’s so much wasted talent. Even the Raiders cut him.

but that was one hell of a rookie
and he didnt fit the raider’s system at all
but im not trying to make excuses for him, i dont like him and think he is overrated, even being he is from vt

I really like the idea, but some of the selections are really puzzling…
- Chris Snee is maybe the 2nd best guard in the entire league.
- Barry Cofield won’t start on his team, much less an all-star tram for an entire division.
- There are one too many starters at OLB, DE, WR, and RB.
- Deangelo Hall, Ken Hamlin, Gerald Sensabaugh, Fred Smoot, Andre Carter, and Randy Thomas wouldn’t sniff this team.
Otherwise, again, good idea.

Snee definitely needs to start. I’d start both Diehl and Shawn Andrews as well. I don’t care who’s the guard and who’s the tackle.
Agreed on Cofield. Ratliff, Bunkley or Patterson should get the nod instead.
The number of starters and backups seemed arbitrary.
The safeties are rather weak, and Hamlin should make or at least sniff the team.

Strong safety looks weak to me
Having Sensabaugh on as the backup – I’m not even sure he is going to make the team

according to this post, this team would have 14 starting on offense and 13 starting on defense. clever idea for a post but those numbers are just silly.

i would be put sheldon over rodgers
by birdsflyinhigh2590 on Jul 13, 2009 12:17 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
agreed
he let up 1 TD all last year, and that was to Larry Fitz in his ridiculous playoff run. If Deion Sanders and Ronnie Lott had a child and he played cornerback, HE couldn’t have stopped Fitz last year…
So I’m gonna let that one slip up go and say Sheldon had a much better year than rodgers.
