Sources: Burress, Vick likely to get stiff penalties - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is leaning toward indefinitely suspending former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress(notes) and continuing to sideline quarterback Michael Vick(notes), three sources with knowledge of the situations have indicated. Such moves would be the latest examples of Goodell’s tough stance on players embroiled in off-field issues as evidenced with the suspension of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth(notes) earlier this month.

Oh man.

JIBTA’s gonna be pissed to find out Hall is overrated. I, on the other hand, wasn’t the least bit surprised to see him there.

Being fair...

I know a couple of things about the Redskins and after having one of the worst pass rush totals the team finished highly ranked in a lot of categories:

5th – Avg yards per play.
7th – Yards per game.
6th – Points allowed per game.
6th – TDs allowed.
6th(T) – Comp. Pct.

You guys may say that with Campbell on the field teams weren’t forced to score many points and how that helped them achieve those numbers…. Well, in attempts they saw almost the same number than your team and the Cowboys.

That speaks well of their coverage players, and that includes Hall, it seems that he didn’t sucked last year.

I think he's improved since joining the 'Skins

But he is still overrated. He gets billed as this Top 5 lock down corner when he isn’t. He was inconsistent in Atlanta and basically a liability in Oakland. Now it seems he is calming down and becoming a solid corner. I think the point is that he isn’t Champ Bailey and it would be nice if more people owned up to that.

Oh, that I know

And actually, I believe that their pass defense ranking has more to do with how well Carlos Rogers and Shawn Springs played (Springs in his small window).

But still, Hall saw a lot of playing time and played well enough to not become a hindrance.

TWO teams that were clearly in rebuilding mode (Atlanta, Oakland) gave up on a 24-year-old in less than a calendar year. I think we can go ahead and call him VASTLY overrated.

Placing trust on the Raiders talent evaluation and coaching?

I know that Hall sucked with the Raiders and was a toast, very much like Deltha O’Neal (a toast that made plays every once in a while), in Atlanta.

It’s just that according to what I saw last year, Hall had a pretty decent year.

But I hope that you and the article are right, I hope that he goes back into sucking. But that’s hope and hope isn’t a plan.

Haha, leave that Mike Lombardi rhetoric at the door.

Plus, what plan can I have? Whacking him with a tire iron? I’m a fan. All fans can do is hope.

But that said, yeah, Hall, um, blows.

yea i read it.

amazing to see a blog not riddled with blind homerism. If the cowboys were as bad as the chiefs but they were still playing us… they would predict a 42-0 win over us and every cowgirl would agree.

Maybe that’s why i’ve always had a soft spot for the chiefs and their fans

Eagles.

I don’t mind the Chiefs at all.
I hope they do well, every week, except when we play them. :-)
