no westbrook til week 1????
We all know westbrook missed camp yesterday with an ankle injury. figured no big deal right? wrong!!! read the profootballtalk.coms report
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/06/03/westbrook-out-until-start-of-regular-season/
Our same Amish friend who avoided the Harrison Ford treatment on Tuesday night upon conveying to us information being reported by Comcast SportsNet regarding the possibility of a new contract for Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb
now advises us of a new report from CSN regarding the status of running back Brian Westbrook.
Per the report (and we’ll put up a link as soon as one is available), Westbrook is out with a high ankle sprain.
How long? How about until the start of the regular season.
Yikes.
Per the CSN report, Westbrook was examined in Baltimore on Wednesday by ankle specialist Mark Myerson. Apparently, Westbrook might need a procedure to “clean out” the ankle.
With Correll Buckhalter now in Denver, the job likely will fall to Lorenzo Booker
and rookie LeSean McCoy.
But the Eagles also might now be in the market for a veteran tailback, such as Deuce McAllister
or Edgerrin James.
I hope lesean is ready to make the start if the worst happens and westbrook isnt ready

Reps
I’m not happy here. The upside i see though is that Mccoy will have a chance with more reps and if he works in as the #1 back during preseason, he’ll be much more prepared come week 1.

Mckoy could be good...
But do not rest your season on him. Go out and sign a veteran back…Edgerrin James would be a nice stop gap. He tore us up in the playoffs last year.
nope
he doesnt mean edjerrin, cus his name is spelled edgerrin, just the way he has it. If you were gonna try and correct him, why not point out McCoy is the proper spelling of LeSeans name.

The joke was bad.
it’s four words in text, no signs of serious sarcasm…and considering the guy above you did say “mckoy” it’s entirely plausible to think that your comment was meant to be a correction, but you spelled his name wrong. Look, the joke was poor. If it we’re something more obvious then feel free to insult me. But in this case, your response is childish. Chill out.

and my name is what people referred to Hugh Douglas as after he was in the fight with TO. I guess you didn’t catch that one….

that was a joke… i was saying edjerrin because he said mckoy… that’s why i said edjerrin… becauase edjerrin is obviously edgerrin and mckoy is obviously mccoy.. that’s what i meant… next time you’re not sure what someone means by a comment, listen to the voice that says “no let this one go, maybe i’m the one who doesn’t understand what he meant” yea, that’s the voice to go with
http://www.libertyballers.com/
wow wow…you’re a big man, tryin to belittle me over a comp……IF that was a joke…it was AWFUL…so maybe go straight forward the next time you wanna take an attempt at humor…listen to your own lil voice…“im not as funny as i think i am”
you wanna respond to mine…ya say…“that was a joke, you didnt get it man”…

oh, sorry i took so long to answer, i was busy watching your mom’s new videos – that would be considered “a big man trying to belittle you over a comp”..
http://www.libertyballers.com/
allow me to educate you….belittling someone, is talking down to them as if they are beneath you…what you just did is talk shit….which would actually make you even smaller as a person…congrats…that cut so deep, i think i’ll go and be a giants fan..
don’t worry i wasn’t holding my breath, waitin on your reply….and secondly, you have no idea how old i am…so consider how possibly sad your comment makes you.

don’t worry i wasn’t holding my breath, waitin on your reply.
then why did you reply that huge ass reply only 12 minutes later
http://www.libertyballers.com/
cus im up late and read other shit to pass the time…just clicked back to my profile..and clicked on the replied comment. Simple enough for you?
hahaha…it makes me laugh that you’re so feeble you need to resort to name callin like you’re in kindergarten. If you understood what it meant to belittle someone, it wouldnt have been so long winded for you. Next time i’ll dumb down for you, keep that ADHD under control.

does this sound like a cowboy fan’s comment? http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2009/5/25/857213/the-2009-eagles-defense-best-in#16523137 that should take you to my post…

na bra, the fact that you try to defeat a person who lives and dies by the color green by using big words that noone without ill intent would use and explaining to me things that my unborn child know what they mean in a demeaning way…that’s what i meant by you sound like a cowboy fan, because everytime they try to troll they say the same stuff you said
http://www.libertyballers.com/
and idk if you caught on yet, but some of the people who may miraculously remember the kind of comments that i usually post would tell you that when i used to post, i bullshit, i was bullshitting this whole thing bro, you really think that my rebuttal to you would be “damn tart” and say stuff like “alas you have defeated me!” and that would be me being serious about “belittling you”? let it go man, you win, you are smarter than i am, you win. just don’t take it this far next time.. don’t even start next time…
http://www.libertyballers.com/
well brotha, i bleed the same green as you, and thats why i didnt resort to name calling. If you read your original repsonse to my comment, you’re the one that started the demeanor of the conversation…with the “listen to that lil voice” crap. all i did was throw it back at ya, sans the namecalling.
if you’d simply said as i stated…“dude it was a joke”…we wouldnt be talkin right now.
If i wasn’t bored…i wouldnt have bothered….and the original response is why you got me belittling you back, i couldnt care less nor am i offended…or feel im above you any way. this takes no effort on my part.

Ehh whatever
Its not like he hasn’t missed practice before. Just get him healthy for the season.
It will be nice to get McCoy a lot of snaps in the preseason anyways. We already know what Westbrook brings.
+1
while i would love to see a healthy westbrook right now, he knows the system. as long as his ankle can be close to 100% for week 1, this just gives shady a chance to dive in and get even more reps in case he needs to have a larger role in his rookie season than we had all hoped he would have to.
http://poorsportsblog.blogspot.com/
Exactly
Westbook goes basically all season without practice anyway.
He will still study and be at the installations.
He’s fine.
Besides, look what rookie running backs did last year.

I'd almost be concerned
if Brian came to camp and said he was 100% healthy. While I don’t like it, for whatever reason this no longer phases me. The guy busts his ass and plays lights out when possible. I think I’m just conditioned to expect injury news like this by now.
In all seriousness, all I’m was hoping for is a season of minimal injuries to the key players so we can see exactly what this team is made of. The last thing they need is one of their most volatile players to hit the IR and the season is spent trying to scrape by.
I would be a lot more comfortable with McAllister or Edgerrin for depth, because we could still give McCoy a chance to get some serious playing time without throwing him into the fire. However, once Westbrook is back, Edge/Duce would have to slip back to the #3 HB spot or be cut, so they would have to be pretty desperate to take that deal.
Fly, Eagles, Fly...
i'd go with edge
he looked good in the playoffs last year (when he had motivation and opportunity), so for a one year guy, i’d be OK with edge (though his blocking is subpar). i worry about deuce’s knees too much to be a fan, but i agree he’s better than the other options out there.
