I don’t agree with Brookover that Sheldon should be seething if McNabb gets a new deal. While I like Sheldon and agree he is underpaid McNabb is waaaaay more important to this team.

I agree.
I know this topic got beat into the ground over the spring, but having two years remaining and being a productive team leader and a pro-bowl caliber, franchise QB versus being a solid, reliable cornerback who has yet to make a pro-bowl are worlds apart. Not to mention the whole, Sheldon got paid upfront thing with a long term deal. Is he underpaid? Debatable. But didn’t he already get paid and happily except that payday? Yes.
Sheldon has no reason to be seething. If you want to be a team leader and be paid like a team leader, you show up to OTA’s and lead by example. Who pays a team leader team leader-like money before knowing if they can lead a team?

Yea that article is garbage
If you can’t see the difference between the McNabb and Sheldon Brown situations, then you are clinically retarded.

“If you’re not here, then you give other people an opportunity to show it. I remember Jon Runyan saying that over and over for the last 10 years, or 9 years, or whatever it’s been. He said, ’I’m not going to miss one snap because it gives another guy a chance to step in there.’ I think that’s how the guys think and really that’s the truth. It’s an obvious statement because it’s the truth.”
This is a statement from the first article about Brown missing the optional workouts. If he holds out, he is going to lose his starting job. We have too much talent at the position for him not to. It’s kinda funny that the Eagles seem to be so prepared at this position anytime there is a problem. I remember really panicking when Taylor and Vincent left, but the Eagles’ planned accordingly. The eagles will probably lose both Brown and Sheppard within a year of each other, and I don’t think it will bother anyone.
I would also advise Sheldon to get rid of that ATV after what happened to Rodney Rogers. So sad.
