The Rumor Mill - Edge?
Something we may be interested in here:
Morning, gents. I was just on ESPN.com, and whilst reading the league news sidebar, I noticed that one of the tags read, "Edge may join Eagles' backfield." You have to be an Insider to read this article, which I am not, so if anyone who reads this happens to be an Insider, could you please report on what you read on this matter? I know it's only a rumor, and is in all likelihood unfounded, but I'm just interested in what the article has to say. In this awful lull between the draft and training camp, I'm just looking for something to pique my interest.
With that out of the way, I think we've already discussed the pros and cons of acquiring Edgerrin James, so I won't rehash what's already been said.

It's nothing - The ESPN "Rumors" are completely worthless...
Two teams fighting for Edge?
Edgerrin James | Cardinals | Interested: Eagles? Saints?
An update on Edgerrin James came yesterday on Pro Football Talk, and it was straight from the mouth of agent Drew Rosenhaus.
“We will be selective. We want to make sure for Edge that he goes to a good situation. He would like an opportunity to have a significant role and a great opportunity for playing time.”
In addition, it doesn’t matter if the interested team is perceived as a “contender,” because in truth, it’s difficult to predict that before training camp even begins.
Both the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles are mentioned as possible destinations for Edge in 2009.

get a subscription to espn the magazine
for like 40/year and you get insider for a year, too.
but half of the stuff in the magazine is online (under INSIDER) anyway, so it’s kind of a waste.

"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."
