Josh McDaniels said the Denver staff targeted Correll Buckhalter in free agency because coaches felt he had "multidimensional" skills that would allow him to succeed in the role of a traditional running back and also in the passing game as a blocker or receiver. "His body is young," McDaniels said. "He just might be, as a matter of fact, I think he is, our fastest back. He's got a great burst and he's got great long speed. "To add a guy to our offense that is very unselfish and is going to accept whatever role he earns is great, and he's going to play his butt off."

Good for Buck
I hope he gets to start.
He deserves it.

The more he starts...
The better the chance of a compensatory pick.

yeah …
he was probably the best FA we lost this year. I know I’ll get shit because of Dawkins but we never really used Bucky enough and a player that averages 4.5 yards per carry for his career should be utilized.
What did Buckhalter do in the 2 games he started last year and was the primary back ????
16 rush 66 yards 4.1 avg 1 TD 2 rec 24 yards (against Chicago 5th best run defense last year and he was leading rusher of both teams that day we held Forte to just 43 yards).
and
18 rush 93 yards 5.1 avg 1 TD 7 rec 85 yards (against San Fran 13th ranked D last year)
