Sheldon Brown skips Eagles voluntary OTAs, Westbrook sits

Photo

Not much to this story other than the fact that Sheldon is not there.

Disgruntled cornerback Sheldon Brown was not on the field this afternoon as the Eagles began their first of 8 days of organized team activities for the full squad. Brown was the only player who did not show up.

While Sheldon said he wouldn't miss any mandatory practices and would not create drama, his absence from these voluntary camps is not a huge shock.

Brian Westbrook is at the camp, but is not practicing due to a sore ankle. That will be a story worth keeping an eye on. If Westbrook can't even start the season healthy, that won't bode well for the Eagles fortunes this year.

Everyone is else in camp and practicing.

The #1 Eagle who I'm worried about this year is Westbrook

He was hardly the same player last year, and he’s now at the dreaded 30. not many RBs in this league (especially ones who’ve been dinged up over the years) can still play at their highest level at that age. I really hope he stays healthy.

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!

Still hurt?????

Westbrook is like a super fancy sports car. You know the Lambos and the Ferrarris or whatever. They look and run Super some times but are not that reliable.

I personally never even been in one but I have heard that analogy used a lot. I think Westbrook needs a vaction or something. He said that all he does is train. He should take a break, cause he is always hurt.

Please

Westbrook get healthy in time for the season

Let's get it.

I wouldn’t be worried about Westbrook. He is always hurt and he will be fine when the season starts.

And introducing your 2009 Eagles Starting Cornerbacks

…the 2007 Patriots Cornerbacks

I’m ok with having a 18-1 defensive back squad

I don’t want to get ahead of myself, he might have a legit reason to skip. But, assuming he is skipping because of his contract issue, this is a sure sign that it’s the beginning of the end for him as an Eagle starter. Hobbs will start week 1 if Sheldon doesn’t shape up and show up really soon

About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.

SHELDON BROWN IS OUT...

ELLIS HOBBS IS IN, IF HE KEEPS THIS UP. I MEAN THE LITO SHEPPARD STORY REALLY ISNT THAT OLD. HE SHOULD HAVE KNOW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. WELL HE DID ASK FOR A TRADE. NOW THE EAGLES ARE GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT HAPPENS. I SAY TRADE HIM IF HE DOESN’T WANT TO BE HERE. MAYBE WE CAN GET A 3RD ROUND PICK IN NEXT YEARS DRAFT.

First of all...

Please stop with the caps. Really annoying. We don’t have a problem reading lower case letters.

Second of all, Westy is gonna kill this year. With all the injuries he played with last year, a sore ankle for him is like a paper cut. Definitely at least 1000 yards rushing, 600 receiving, and minimum 10 TDs.
Stop crackin jokes at the 2nd best running back in the league! :[
