ahhhhhh booo

Desean got slower and they played curtis. This shit is based completely off season stats and not gameplay

i don’t think they base it on stats, because the guy who had the most sacks last year (howard) is ranked fourth among the d-lineman. plus, celek had great playoff stats and look at his rating. sounds a little fishy to me.

by awd777 on Jun 16, 2009 8:50 AM EDT up reply actions

53

bs jack is not a 53 .. hes better than macho .. and max jean giles is too low .. if one of ur lineman gets hurt your screwed .. fuck madden

I’m surprised they had him make the team.

Haven't posted much recently, but...

EA really reworked the whole ratings thing this year – you might read this blog post before getting too caught up in the numbers – they are scaled way differently than in years past…

by cavortingEagle on Jun 15, 2009 5:24 PM EDT reply actions

That doesn’t explain why the Eagles D is rated worse than Arizona’s.

by yosoysean on Jun 15, 2009 6:03 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m guessing it’s because of there playoff run 10 INTs 3 FF and 10 sacks was the most out of all defenses in the playoffs last year. Not right but it could be the reason.

True, but perhaps EA really likes the players on the other squads better…
It’ll get straightened out during the season with roster updates…
Are Amon Gordon and Fenuki Tupou really going to make the team?

by cavortingEagle on Jun 16, 2009 1:07 PM EDT up reply actions

no. Gordon was already cut. Tupou has to compete with McGlynn, MJG, and Dunlap. I think his best chance to beat out one of them would be McGlynn because we’re not that deep at T and MGJ and Dunlap are simply huge human beings. We’ll see though.

About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.

and P.S.

its a friggin joke that Cole and Tupou are rated the same… right? they have to be kidding

Gordon was already cut

that was nagging at me when I wrote this, but the googles failed me…

in recent games i’d say: under 80 – backup. Over 89 – asset

by Nils_eaglesfan on Jun 15, 2009 5:52 PM EDT up reply actions

they are supposedly changing it up there year to make 75 avg instead of 80 being avg
which may be why a lot of the scores are low

by 0sirys on Jun 15, 2009 9:01 PM EDT up reply actions

There are 67 LBs rated higher than Stewart Bradley.

by yosoysean on Jun 15, 2009 6:10 PM EDT reply actions

Was Amon Gordon cut already?

by JimmyK on Jun 15, 2009 6:10 PM EDT reply actions

This is probably fake

Is is from pasta padre isn’t it. Mcnabb here is a 90 the official madden website has him at a 91.

Observations

Maclin over Curtis seems premature. Really curious what the rest of Avant’s extended stat categories look like.

I wish Schoebel was a 72 in real life.

Back up Olinemen got the shaft – Cole especially. I’m guessing Shawn is the 92.

No love for Mike Patterson…

Gaither took a monster hit from his rating last year.

EA still loving SJones a bit too much.

by andyreidswaistline on Jun 15, 2009 6:19 PM EDT reply actions

they did re-tool the ratings.

where as a back up would be rated in the 70-80 range in previous games, now average players find themselves in the 60-70 area. i saw a write up in game informer about it. i think a lot of it has to do with the fact that there are more skill categories this year. for instance…..unlike years past, there is a rating for throwing on the run.

by snowhill82 on Jun 15, 2009 8:27 PM EDT up reply actions

this makes me not want the game.

hopefully once the season starts and they see how sick our boys are they will boost thier stats like they did last year

by ssean2266 on Jun 16, 2009 8:29 AM EDT reply actions

I hope this turns out to be false

If these are the true ratings I’m a little dissapointed. I thought we were supposed to have the 3rd best team this year, those stats above do not look like the #3 rated team.

by #12 on Jun 16, 2009 8:31 AM EDT reply actions

For the receivers...

Is that second row speed?

Do they really think Jason Avant has the same speed as Tank Daniels?

by JimmyK on Jun 16, 2009 9:01 AM EDT reply actions

Some high and some low...

The rookies, specifically McCoy and Maclin are pretty high – no way Maclin is rated higher than Curtis without ever stepping on the field…and our line is beastly, rightfully so…

But what is the deal with Patterson being below Parker and Howard?

crabtree is an 84!?!
