Jenkins Released, Training Camp Roster Set
Amid all the hype of Donovan McNabb's reworked contract, the Eagles quietly released defensive tackle Trevor Jenkins today, solidifying the 80-man training camp roster.
A four-year player at Middle Tennessee State in college, the 6-1, 287-pound Jenkins earned honorary awards as a senior in 2008. He started in 37 games during his collegiate career, recording 105 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss and two sacks.
This move leaves the Eagles with five DT's: Mike Patterson, Brodrick Bunkley, Trevor Laws, Dan Klecko, and Jervonte Jackson. The final depth chart is starting to take shape, so what do you think the regular season DT situation will look like?

andy loves linemen
and klecko was awesome rushing the passer in his brief stint at DT, so he’s our guy. i really like our abiltiy to throw klecko, howard (daaaaa ho), cole and clemons out on passing downs. then we can drop everyone back and still get some pressure on the qb.
i’d like to see eli (without burress), romo (without T.O.) or campbell (without anyone, as usual) make something happen with all the LBs and DBs dropped in coverage, but some serious heat coming from the front 4.

No it's not
Once we sign McCoy and Maclin, we’ll have 2 more to cut.

Kleckooooo
As a 4th DT, the dude had a (career high) 2 sacks in four or five games, before the Tony Hunt failure. I like him in that role.
Now, if Patterson or Bunkley goes down, then I’m a little more nervous.
Moo.
HAHAHAHAHAAH
THIS POLL IS REAL JOKE. KLECKO IS A SICK PLAYER WHO WITH HIS TYPE HIGH ENERGY PLAY COULD PUSH 2 B A PRO BOWLER IF HE WAS A STARTER, ITS IN THE BLOODLINES
HAHAHAHA
I CAN WRITE IN ALL CAPS AND LOOK IMPORTANT… I WANT CHEEZBURGER!
