Former Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart will soon join the Eagles' coaching staff, according to a league source. Stewart was the the defensive coordinator under Wade Phillips when the Cowboys went 13-3 in 2007, but he was stripped of his play-calling duties midway through the '08 season. Phillips fired Stewart a few days after the team's humiliating 44-6 loss to the Eagles...

I hope this doesn’t mean anything bad about the health of Jim Johnson…

according to mosley it doesn't

it makes sense if Sean McDermott becomes more of an co-coordinator. he was coaching the secondary, but can’t if he has to focus on the whole shebang. and the “assistant secondary coach” has only been around a year.

sounds like a good deal to get this guy, if only because he has more knowledge about dallas’s weaknesses.

I also hope that Stewart does not bring along the choking ways of “America’s team” . . .

I think this is great, any time we can get a leg up on the division, is great.

First off, I think Stewart will bring his knowledge of Dallas’ D and a little about their offense. Any time you hire a coach from within the division, he brings with him, the familiarity of his former teams scheme and with that said, we will have the luxury of knowing Dallas’ weakness (not that we already didn’t know: Tony O No, choking in December is pretty apparent). But we will be able to audible on defense when we see a match-up on offense we don’t like or have knowledge of.

awsome!!!

since i live in texas, and most of my friends are cowgirl fans!, i think is is great cus stewart is going to want to get some pay back, and since they play each other twice a year, even better, i hate the damm cowgirls, america`s team? whatever, we are going to win the divsion and go to the super bowl, cus i know nobody is going to give us a game this year after we had a great draft and get back most of the offense back too. go green!!!!
