Around SBN: Jeremy Lin And How The Pac-12 Missed Him

C. Ingram one of the players to make instant impact

http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/30439756/displaymode/1247/

You might not have heard much about this fifth-round pick because tore an ACL and missed Florida's '08 season. But he has the body of an NBA power forward and is a smooth route runner. He's a nice, new target for Donovan McNabb.

Its the offseason and news is slow, so I get excited whenever the Eagles are mentioned. I came across this list of players that are primed to make a instant impact.  Our very own Cornelius Ingram was the only non-first rounder on the list.  The guy looks like a beast in this picture and Im excited as hell to watch him on the field.

Oh yeah

Woops, But I guess we can be proud of the fact that a 5th rounder is even on the list at all.

I can't wait..

to see this guy play. I hope he’s as good as I think he’s gonna be. I’m just as excited about this year as i was about the ’04 season when we got Kearse and TO. This really could be our year.

You’re alive!
Yeah man, Ingram was the only TE I had on my pre-draft board of who I wanted.(Besides Pettigrew)
He’s actually the only player on my whole mock draft I got right.
He is a true leader and if his leg holds, we’ll have a stud for years.

just to say you liked him wouldn’t have been enough, its gotta be a “i was right and you were wrong

i dont recall ANYONE here complaining about the Ingram pick, at any point, EVER

Hmmm….JIBTA returns, EvilBanner disappears….coincidence I think not!

Congratulation? Preseason hype and positive practice reviews only mean so much. He could be anywhere from the best to worst TE in this draft class, and we won’t know for a while.

I didn’t want him in the 2nd, and I did like Nelson. I read a lot of things about how Ingram doesn’t really care about football before the draft. From everything I’ve read post-draft he seems like a great character guy. He could/should be great in the passing game, as he’s a match up nightmare waiting to happen.

JAck is that really you????????

"If I can't practice, I can't practice. It is as simple as that. It ain't about that at all. It's easy to sum it up if you're just talking about practice. We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're talking about practice".

This is a good situation for him

as far as offense and other TEs and stuff goes. With Celek in front of him (presumably) he wont have the pressure of being a starter or anything his rookie year, but he should also get a lot of playing time. McNabb is probably one of the better quarterbacks to have throwing to you, and McNabb is usually pretty accurate with throws down the middle. I am not sure about the blocking stuff.

The fact that he was a 5th rounder should help his on field performance as well, as he doesnt have to have the pressure of being a bust (can a 5th rounder even be a bust?) so it should help him get over rookie mistakes pretty quickly.

Fortune has given him an excellent chance to succeed
