via davemlb51.files.wordpress.com
Please do not rip me here for posting this........ I am simply passing off information that I came across. I was told this by a friend so I looked into it a little further and the only thing I came up with was from the Cincy Jungle which is just like our blog site and whoever made the post said the same thing my friend said ..... so here is a link to that persons post its nothing special

" If you do that its really unfair, that's my teammate (sniff), that's my quarterback, if you guys do that its not fair, we lost as a team (sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff)." - Terrell Owens
yea

Sure!
A low asking price and why not? He definitely showed he can be a top WR in the league. I agree he is getting old but we are looking for help in the short term (aka McNabb era). I’d do it too.
me too
nothing more than a 3rd and a 5th .. we have 12 picks .. we cant sign all of them anyways .. and if we did draft 12 people how many would even make the team

out of all the WRs
I want him the least. He’s getting older, big mouthed, too many antics…and he drops balls!!!
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
So does Braylon “Stone Hands” Edwards. Only difference is that he is older and be honest, you love those antics. Like I said, short term he could work. Hands down I’d take Braylon Edwards if he were an option but out of all the recievers out there, Chad Johnson is the easiest one to see as being capable of attaining. If he is cheap, why not give it a chance?
i would
i would give a 3rd and a rth for chad over a first for boldin .. and get about the same production .. if not more .. chad wants to be a star .. if he comes here he will put on a show

I agree, I would want him least, but I would still want him.
He and Donovan are actually very close friends off the field. He really has respect for McNabb and Philly as a sports team. He would be no problem here. Just like Moss in NE.
City of Champions!
True
I would generally want him. It’s a huge plus when the player has respect for the organization and it’s players (especially the QB). Good point about Randy Moss. He’s done nothing but good things up there. The Patriots are a no B.S. team and so are the Eagles. I think he could shine with us.

if we don't have to give up too many draft picks
and ONLY if we sign him for 2 years or less
About 10 minutes ago, I was pondering my own existence. Then I decided that it didn't matter.
+1
Cheap price and 2 years or LESS is key

I don't know why ...
but I really like Chad Ocho Cinco … aren’t him and Donny supposedly pretty close?
"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"
Yeah, they are homies,
remember when Ocho Cinco was getting hounded by the press during the season. He said that Donny called him and gave him advice. And Chad was just eating that stuff up. He loves Donovan, and has a ton of respect for him.
He even said “imagine what I could do in a team like the Eagles”, he said that a couple of times. If we give him some money, he would just shut up and play. The city would love him, how old is he though? I think he is 30 or so?
City of Champions!
as long as the parameters are solid, i wouldn’t mind this too much… we can’t overpay for him and the contract would have to be short… long term deals with this guy are a bad idea… but i refuse to call him “Chad Ocho Cinco”

After he scores a few TDs...
…against the Giants and Braylon Edwards gets shut down, you’ll call him Ocho Cinco. You will!
you’ll call him Ocho Cinco. You will!
meh. no thanks. i’ll respect what he’s doing for the team, be happy with the production, and hopefully overjoyed that he’s being a model citizen… but the words “Go Chad Ocho Cinco” or any derivative there-of will never cross my lips.

Drop your coat and grap your toes… I’m gonna show you where the wild goose goes.
BTW they’re penning the sequel as we speak. Should be out in late 2010. Movie was friggin hilarious

but can't you just hear the Linc chanting...
“OCHO! OCHO! OCHO! OCHO!” or instead of the “T.O.” chant, it will now be the “OCHO” chant

well i hope we, as a fanbase, could be a little more inventive with a chant and not just rehash the TO chant

The Triffecta
Now that there have been rumors that the Eagles are interested in Boldin, Edwards, & now Ocho Cinco, will they finally sign someone? or was this the FO’s plan all along…
when Mcnabb said more weapons, maybe he meant Chad Johnson b/c their best buds (see photo above), & the Eagles showed interest in other receivers because then they would appear not as interested in getting him, and be able go trade for him at a lower price.
or there just teasing us again… hope if they do get him the price is right
agreed,
I would offer
3rd rounder and Reggie Brown.
Remember, we have to rework his deal to shut him up.

Hahahaha it’s two seasons old but I thought that was hilarious
"Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein." -Joe Theismann
Did McNabb tell Michael Smith the Eagles were interested?
Thats his Eagles insider…if he does want Chad, its a brilliant move politically to go about it that way…so that the fans put pressure on the FO without him having to seem like he’s complaining or demanding anything…
No factual basis here, just a thought…
so that the fans put pressure on the FO
I don’t think the FO gives a flying F about pressure brought on by the fans.
"I need to do a better job of putting players in the right position to perennially come up short of expectations"
This is true...
Not that it will make them do anything, I was more thinking from McNabb’s standpoint, he looks like the good corporate citizen of the evil empire…
i also don’t think the FO gives a flying F about the their current players’ desires to get/not get certain other players
"I tried to run him over but Eli had his big boy pads on and he kind of stopped me from getting in the end zone. The next time I’ll try to jump over his head.’’ - Asante Samuel
Misposted below...
I do think Donovan McNabb cares about his public perception tho…this places the public eye on the FO without him having to take a hit…
Don’t in any way think it will influence the FO’s actions…
Plus I’m just making this up…
Agreed...
